  3. I do exist mate.......honest.........try PM from here....hope to hear from you soon!!
  4. my comp ain't too great so takes me a while to sort through the lost and found to see if i can help so would make it easier if people who lost dogs and thought they might be roaming about put the area in the title so people can concentrate on that area What do people think??
  5. i think in the middle of a big field deer have very little chance especially roe as they don't have a hole to get down and on the lamp they can feel lost but can turn and move into cover easily as they live on the ground then they know the cover better than the dog so on fair ground a deer is hard but once a dog is on a deers arse its normally all over where as rabbits can jink and dissappear easy as well as being harder for a dog to spot again if its been thrown off
  6. i put a rabbit dummy around a playing field then lamped them on short grass they can't fail to see them........helps practice the retrieve as well then move on to shooting rabbits.......loadsa praise when they do it......the only problem is for the first few after shot he don't expect them to run off when he gets there and i'm wasn't sure who was more surprised when it did
  7. I like jackie drakefords writing for training EG walsh - Lurchers and Longdogs is good for pics of crosses and what does what etc And just for a good read of hunting exploits but not a teaching book or comparing crosses then Jon Darcy's books are good, i got extreme lurcherwork of a mate for my birthday but am just finishing one i started before bit can't wait to get stuck into it
  8. i got a pointer x and his first thought when he catches something is to bring it too me!! whether its fox, rabbit or whatever back it comes!!! there bit faster than labs and quite game but very intelligent i know i'm biased but i'd have another although the first cross is a bit heavy but still all legs and a good chest...........he can still move though worth a thought with saluki whippet and grey making 3/4 it would be great i reckon!!!
  9. mines buzz i don't like peoples names on dogs so what about wog!!
  10. quite a few with no ears.........after the combines been done!!
