  1. Got a dog out of Dean 29 dog to a greyhound bitch, hes slowly maturing but still very puppyish at 19/20 month, hopefully this season coming when he sees a bit more he will mature that little bit more, hes 28 inch, well built but quite racey with it.
  2. Please tell me which bit made you think I was going to do as I like, or re read my posts, if I didn't want advice why would I have asked!!
  3. Are you saying my dogs injury is utter shite?? Whats so wrong with asking people with years of experience there advise. What a number one prick!!
  4. Rocky my dogs are the only working/running dogs my vet has treated, no matter how many qualifications they have got they have no experience of a hard working running dog!! He has told me the dog can be walked but he has no idea of when it will be ready to run as I dont think he quite understands how much strain a good night out can put on a dogs leg! So in my eyes people on here are gona pretty much know as much as he does if not more. Thanks for the comments everyone hopefully he will come right
  5. He will never be wrapped up he wouldn't let me lol!! Thanks again for the advice it's much appreciated, he isnt showing pain but never did from the second he did it, only knew he was injured when my floor started filling with blood! Do you think he is ready now to be walked on a lead, he's like a coiled spring ready to pop!!
  6. Thanks for all the advice, its his front out side toe which is now slighty flat and pointing upwards, he is a smallish (23inch) light dog who is very quick so I'm hoping he will run enough to have the odd rabbit, even if not he will be a pet for the rest of his life, or my little ferreting companion. I will start small lead walks with him in a few weeks. Its the dog I feel for he is so bored and restless, he's always been kept fit!! Bloody idiots smashing bottles on fields if I knew who had done it they would have a hell of a vet bill to cover!!!!
  7. Vet hasnt told me how long to wait before running him again though, they told me he was ready for small walks couple weeks back! I've had shit luck this season, my 3 year old dog done that 8-9 weeks ago, then started my bull deerhound (17month) on the proper quarry got his first red then took him out 1 week later and he f****d his knee, gutted isn't the word!!!!
  8. Hi About 8 weeks ago my dog severed his tendon which the vet stiched back together as best he could, we think it then ruptured again because there was swelling and pain. The vet decided not to operate again as his cut had healed and thought it would cause more damage if opened up again. He now looks fully healed although he has got obvious tendon damage as his outside toe is not right! Vets have told me he should run again just as well but only running him will prove if he can. Just wondered how long you would advise before I start getting him walked again as he has been house and

  20. I have just started running my 1/4 bull 1/4 deerhound 1/2 greyhound and he looks to be shaping into a nice animal, he still needs practice on the turning but that should come when he fully finds his feet, in a straight line he's like a rocket so can catch up pretty quick after the turns. Heard good things about this x though so fingers crossed
  21. I've taken it slow with mine knew he wasn't ready and he's a pretty big lad at 29inch and not to sure on his weight but he can knock me about if he tries lol so its taken him a while to find his feet and control his speed and strength and still he doesn't understand that slowing down is a good thing, me mate I was lamping with found that out when he was taken of his feet with his boots ending up higher then his head and he aint no small bloke!! I took him out again the other night so his second night out and he got another 7 so things are looking good, although rabbits aint really going
