    Can only agree with most of the above, I now dont even bother to skin/gut just feed the whole thing. As long as you have a decent kennel pratice and stay on top of your worming its no problem.

    My god there are some simple people around, no one is saying let them fight to the death but they must be given a chance to sort it out because no man can be around 24/7. And seperation is ok yes, but the grudge is still there. Try and let them sort, give them a thrashing and seperate if need be, but its better trying to resolve the problem than pretend is dont exist. Remember, most fights between dogs look and sound much worse than they are. And before some idiot says anything about fighting dogs, they have no place here and it is something completely different alltogether.

    Raw will be fine, chicken, mince, lamb, raw veg, cooked pasta mixed in. Ignore all the people who say that you need some type of dry puppy food stuff, it is utter nonsense. Feed red meat and white meat alternate feeds or the pup may scour (get the shits) Raw rabbit carcass, meaty bones, all good for puppys.

    Its amazing how many terrier keepers have such low standards. The future of working terriers are in the hands of lads who believe that "it stays or it go,s". Happy to say that there are still such lads around but by the looks of it, they are an endangered species. I have seen words to the effect of "do you expect a terrier to stay to end" in this thread, well to put it bluntly, yes. Anything less is a kick in the teeth for the man who has fed it and cleaned it out.

    So what you are saying is that you have a fox only dog that wont stay? Hardly a true worker. Now I am not trying to put you down as this dog obviously is fine for what you want and you work it and enjoy it which is the main thing. BUT, im my opinion it is not a true working terrier. It is a dog that has its use, but you would hardly call it the real thing now would you.

    Let us be serious for a minute, you can not compare a fert to a working terrier can you? I am not looking for an argument, you offered up something for points of view and I gave you mine. Now if you did not have permission or were a hunt terrierman then a dog like yours would be a gift, but you do have permission and do have the option to dig to a good terrier. Now your dog is fine for you and that is great, but it is not a true working terrier. Dont feel bad, not many are but dont pretend that it is either. Honesty about dogs and thier abilitys, thats all.

    My take on this thread is that someone with a sub standard dog, who in their heart of hearts knows it is sub standard but cant admit it, is asking other people with equally sub standard dogs to all pretend that they are proper working terriers. When in reality any terrier that can not be dug to the majority of the time it is entered is not worthy of the name working terrier. For the hunt terrierman they are the right tool for the job, for everyone else they are half a dog.

    Bolting dogs are a real asset to some lads, no doubt about it. But would you consider a bolting only dog who is most likely 4 foot off his game all the time as a true working terrier? I would not. Dogs like this are a real gem for Hunt Terriermen, it is thier bread and butter but most lads who only keep one or two would not give them kennel space.

    6lb 12oz is a monster eel and very rare to catch. It would rate right up there with 40 + carp, maybe even 45+. Well done, a true monster.
