    no idea but i've been stood above the rabbit hole and ones come out, tiny little thing, i'm stood dead still staring at it - and its just carried on venturing away from the hole, if I had a net and not a rifle I could of had it! Also once I was going as stealthy as possible threw wild garlic and nearly stood on one! soon bolted off tho! If she doesnt look after it she know's its fait anyway!

    Weve bought our daughter a little white baby rabbit for her birthday today - £22! Was thinking of trying to net a small baby one out in the field! Anyone else own a pet rabbit?! ?

    I'm 24 and these two who collered us were about my age to be honest, they didn't have a clue. Once got stopped as a kid, i was about 15, with my relum tornado in a dissused car park near my house, someone had seen me and called the police, this was before I knew about permisson or anything, I was just shooting old tins, they raced up to be and disarmed me but the copper basically said 'i do a bit of shooting myself and to be honest your not in a bad place lad, i'll have to ask you to go home tho' which was sound enough.

    My cousin and i got stopped by the police the other night on the way home from our permission, we were passing the local tip and they had report of two men breaking in the two previous nights. The wanted to know what we had in the bags, so they laid them out on the path and unzipped them to see our rifles (we had told them we'd been shooting and that they were indeed air rifles) - they both looked shocked, I think they had an image of air ifles of being your old style, thin, break barrell types and here were these things with camo'd scopes/silencers with a big air bottle underneath them!

    not bad idea that, allthough how do you go about holding it 'on' at the same time as aiming and shooting? the battery would die quick?

    the first rabbit came within 20 yards, we were losing light and to be honest I thought it wern't working but then I just spotter one sat there grazing! the others were around 25 yards, well within range, quite chuffed. My cousin has just been told he can have his uncles old dive bottle, which should pass the test, so thats an added bonus now!

    Do you split up? Walk together and take it turn? Just both shoot anything either of you see? I've been walking with my cousin and talking it in turns, ie my go your go. Our permission isn't really all that big to be splitting up

    Me peronally, I can't imagine shooting at a rabbit with anything other than an air rifle, makes a right mess!
