  2. heres a good collie cross.11 years old now but still workind well.this dog have worked the hills of mid wales for fox from day one and became one of the best hunting,catching and killing of fox that we seen,before the ban.worked good with ferrets and done well on the lamp.my mate has got pups there out of him to a collie xgreyhound bitch now for sale .this dog was featured in mark snowdons articule in earth dog running dog mag,no 155. anyone interested in a pup let me know and i'll pass you on to him.pups are £150 each but only three left.

  4. breakaway rabbit snares do have they place in rabbit control but need refining to get the best results. the breakaway fox snare has failed badly for me,works ok on fence lines, but open run snaring i think its a no no personally.

  7. hi all , is the rodenator any good on moles. i also seen some called the burrow buster and the verminator.anyone on here use this kit or would traps be better. any advice would be good advice. thanks.

  10. hi all. last Saturday was the last trip of the season with the ferrets for me.good day out on 700 acres of ground. day started well,9 out of the first set of holes and one missed.we all miss the odd one but this one got out of a net with a hole in. started looking at the nets as the day went on ,and out of the fifty nets i had 30 have made the way to my bin. only used hemp from a kid,and god knows i ended the day with 57 in the bag.hemp done me well over the years but as time goes on i find myself not drying them,looking close at them after each trip,lazy i think but my days with hemp ar

  12. .hi jake. i can see where your coming from as far as the hard dogs are concerned.worker to worker is the way to go,but also feel that a good hard working stud put constitution and drive back into the line. not all hard dogs are reckless workers.by using a hard dog don't mean the pups will work the same as the sire. then looking what tigerdog said, bitches play a more important role in the pups make up than the dog i think. no good usinga good stud if the dam aint up to the job.
  13. thank you all for the help,I've made my mind up.im going for the 22 250.may be over gunned like some say but for every crow killed could save the lives of a few lambs.the deciding factor was the price of ammo that my mate could reload for me. thanks again.
  14. my land have got strong wind even in the summer,ok wmr sounds ok but could be shooting over 150 yards. every crow on these places could say 15 or so lambs,air guns no good here.just long range crow shooting.

  16. hi all. just got my fac aplication in front of me,i need a rifle,but what one ?.first off i aint a gun man to be honest,got shotguns but thats as far as it goes. first off i aint shooting fox,i would never do that but crows play hell on the farms i hunt all the time with lambs and crops getting slambed every year. crows at long range will be the target,thought about a hmr,but told wind can play hell with this calibre,and my farms are so close to the moon wind is a problem all year round.just need a tool that can take them out in all weather conditions really. cost is a big factor to,but re

  24. some thing's been on my mind for a while now.im after a new lurcher pup. collie cross would be the one for me i think,but owners of bull crosses would say they are the muts nuts. what have the bull x's got that a collie cross aint ?? im talking huting in the uk here,and not big game in Africa,aint many big game where i live. so what should i go for the bull,or the collie cross ????. whats your thoughts on them,before i make my mind up.
