Opinions on working staffords?

It depends on your definition of work. It's a poor stafford that won't kill a fox but that's not work. The stafford that can scent one, follow a line, catch and then kill it is more like it. A dog that's hole ended or given a dropper isn't a working stafford to me. They can make half decent bushing dogs but they have their limitations. It's nice to see more lads taking an interest in them for bushing and what have you. Versatile little buggers. -
I've had both the TX and the 97 in .22 and it's a tough choice but the TX wins it for me. If it only had the loading port in the same place as the 97....

Just come back from the pub and that question of questions came up again..... What makes the ultimate pie! Short crust vs puff Steak and Kidney vs Chicken and Mushroom etc Then there's Steak and Ale vs Steak and Guinness Do you expect a whole pie when you order one, or are you just a top/lid kind of guy? What's the best pie based meal? That one is so hard.....I think I'd have to go Minced beef with puff pastry and mushy peas, with plenty of vinegar and a nice gravy Then again....pie and mash is hard to beat..... This has got f**k all to do with Ulster so let's nip that one in the bud right now. My uncle fought in the Falklands and he did a bloody good job. The pressure he was under was immense and those that weren't there just can't imagine what those lads went through. I spoke to him earlier about this thread and the recent media coverage and he was really, genuinely touched. You know what he said to me when I left.........??
