well i went out in the end, text me mate telling dont forget his waterproofs!! then i went out and realised when i got there i left mind at home and sods laws, it pissed down!!! Anyway got to the 1st set, netted it all up (only 5 holes) as walkin back to get the ferret, i slipped(well thats what i thought) put the jill down(only her 2nd day out, this years young). she kept poking her head out but with a bit of egging on she started to work, must been 20mins pasted by and me mate shouted at me look, a rabbit bolted from where i "slipped, turns out me foot went threw the top of the bolt hole

well as it says, i had to give up me 2 whippet X whippet/collie/grey i gave them to what i hope was a good home, just wondered if anyone knows of the person or if he reads this, i just wanted to see how they getting on. im from the grays area and the bloke that came to collect was from harlow and had a red astra van and came with i think waqs his wife, pups was both white, one with black spot on his back and a black patch on his eye the other had a large black/tan patch on his back with small black spot on his face. can anyone help, be nice to see how they getting on. no si

what would you choice to mark holes and catch rabbits as the ferrets bolt the rabbit, in stead of using nets?

well as it says was thinking about going out tomorrow, but just seen the weather, pooring with rain and heavey winds, would you still goin in that weather or dose that lessen the chance's whats ya oppion, also been thinking about ferreting at night [NO TEXT TALK] agree with it, i did read a post about it on here month or so ago, and asual didnt get a good answer cos just turned into a slaggin match. cheers

just wondering can you go ferreting anytime of the day? all the storys i hear its about when people start at about 7-8am no one goes on about if they go out at like late morning early afternoon. cheers in advance turk

got to sell me BMW, only owned it for a month, reason for sale is just got a new job in london and would cost a fortune to take a car into london everyday, so want to get a motor bike, 1996 but on a L plate (cant work that out) milage 129K Tax runs out 31/12/09 MOT runs out may, i've recent Change the oil filter, fuel filter, pollen filter, oil,plugs and leads, got receipts to prove this also changed the rear drivers side shock, and the person who owned it before me also changed the rear Drivers side spring. the ABS light has just come on and i know this is only the sensor for the

I'm actually in the process of convertin me mums old shed lol, she aint happy but such as life, plan is to ply line the whole in side and put concrete slubs as the floor so ferts can walk on thouse and keep nails down, going to put a shelf about 2 foot or so up for there bed, and have drain pipe/ mesh or something for access, just run out of funds at the moment so got wait till pay day now, should be ok to keep them fit, hope this helps, anyone got any other ideas they would like 2 put forward would be nice.

right guys i finally manage 2 get out 4 the 1st time, unfortuantly was a day late, but i managed to bag 2. got there about 7:30ish, walked to the other end the field, netted the 1st warren was only 6 hole big, put me jill down for the 1st time, 15mins went by, and got the 1st bolt, was we pleased but as i ran over to get the bunny i must ran to slow or the net was not set properly cos it managed to shake loose and get out left it another half hour or so but nothing more came. so of to the next warren, netted up as you do, turned out we ended up puttin 19 nets down, put the jill down

cheers guys i do feed them everyday, was on tinned dog food but from a lot of good information i got from peeps on here they now on complete food, tomorrow is there 1st outing and my 1st with ferts in years,

goin out tomorrow morning for me first time, just hope the ferts are ready. Stand by for pics, hopeful get some bunnys just wondered what you feed yours the night before you go, years ago i used to feed them raw eggs and bread but after ready all your helpful comment on my other post i found out that is real bad so what ya opion on this. EDITED TO PUT THE RESULTS OFF ME 1ST DAY UP

i know its a bit far feched but i read a few things on hear about peoples problems with ferrets and people say get them to vet, wel yea makes sence, but is there insurance you can take out for them like you would for ya dog or birds, anyone able to help on this quiry?

Hi peeps just a wondering how often do you guys feed your ferrets, i was told once a day is enough but i feel that is no where near enough, It dont help that me jill is lookin a little it on the skinny side, any ideas on to put a bit of meat on to her. Both me jill and hob are both feed the same amount of tinned dog food thanks peeps and keep the stupid remarks to ya slef cheers.

hi all was reading a thread yesterday about someone using a terrier for marking a live warren. i was really interested in this and was wondering what other people prefered breed of dog would be for this use. sensible coments only please thanks turk

bit of a wired post but heres goes. me nans just moved in to our place cos me mum didn't like her livin on her own, with her she brought her dogs, little feckers, except 1 its a 2 year old border terrier(thats what the pet shop told her it was but i think its a border X patt). lets get to the piont, as i said, he's nearly 2 what that chance of trainin him to use as a marker with the ferrets. 1 problem i know of that will have 2 b snape out of but not sure if he 2 old, is that he has had no trainin, and has been able to do what he likes, got no recall what so ever and has no obeadiance,

may sound a bit dump or stupid here but what do u mean by the terrier never missed a mark, do u use terriers to locate a live warren kind of thing? Yes mate, if theres nowt home she'll keep going until she finds something. ATB John thanks john might have to invest in a terrier now, what kind of work goes in to training, and what would you recommend out of jack russel patterdale or lakeland
