  1. well with all due respect i would be supprised if you would find a modern book or up to date website that encouraged the use of a muzzle, so wheres that idea come from
  2. Well said Stubby!...I've just discovered this fecking ridiculous topic and I can't believe what I'm reading ... A muzzle would not stop the ferret staying down and worrying the rabbit so you would possibly still have to dig if you were impatient. Maybe I'm over suspicious but!...When a new member comes on and asks strange or provocative questions I wonder if there's a hidden agender,...if you get my drift! I certainly think thats what that member who killed his ferret to enable him to draw the head, then muscle layer , followed by its skull did
  3. A ferrets a ferret, they all come in different shapes & sizes

  8. I was sent a book by a member of this forum from the 40's and it sates that the auther teaches the kits to come to his call same thing really as a rattle of a set of keys or a whistle
  9. If i post on the ferrets section in way of a reply i read the origonal post & then answer accordingly, not everyones got the same level of understanding & that should be acknowledged when you answer without the poster feeling patronised or blinded with science, it works for me
  10. My spellings not brilliant but i just get on with it
  11. Would this be because the bricks are pourus and it would soak the paint up but in Dich's case it would not soak in. Just wondering. Very probably it was a barbeque Yes and I suppose the drinks were flowing and one thing led to another................................... no i didnt use it in the end as a barbecue

  16. He looks a fine chap Mark , has he used the litter tray yet you may find the odd turd lurking somewhere
  17. Training to a voice commands exactly what do do want to do , or the rattle of your keys, whistle etc , makes life easier when trying to locate a ferret thats gone awol in the garden or the house for that matter
  18. Hi Basil i didnt mean any kits in the litter dying after birth, this jill had a dead kit she didnt give birth to inside her, she had only had 1 live kit & had been feeding it a good 12 hours & not acting out of the ordinary, it was the fact she was still quite big that made me feel something wasnt right, So after a call to the vets it was confirmed she had a dead one inside her & then she passed it at home after an injection from the vets
  19. MAD AL OLDSKOOL Hope you both have a great day
  20. I dont think its common for the jill to have problems , but there can be as i found out last year they can & do sometimes have problems when Gloria had the dead kit inside her, but i went with my gut reaction & it was sorted very quickly I really think if you weigh it up its more likely that your jill will have a safe & sucessfull pregnancy & birth, Jule just go with your gut reaction & have a think about it , you know your ferrets better than anyone else
  21. No dont think thats right
  22. can you ask the ferret cough please do you remember the nit nurse as well
  23. People do feed there ferrets fish , look back a few pages & i think theres a thread about fish heads, what are you feeding your ferret at the moment
