  2. I have been talking to a bloke today and he was telling me one of the spots he shoots, he explained he sits in his 4x4 and shoots down along the hedge. I asked what he was shooting with, as he was pointing towards a public road with only a small wood between him and the road (the road is about 300m away) he said he was using a 22 rimmy when queried about lack of backstop he said "I am using Z lang ammo which runs about 30flbs so about the same as a decent air rifle" I have looked it up on the RWS site and it says good for indoor use and short range after doing a search I see I few people on
  3. after I bought my Lamber I have not bothered looking for another 12g good for both Clay and field , if i was going to us for field only I would go for somthing a little lighter as it is heavy or I would get a 20bore

  5. looking at some of the ranges here I must be crap ! I zero at 50yards and shoot out to about 65yards I use RWS but I have just bought some Eley's , first thing i noticed about the Eley's is that they seem to have a better casting with a more consistent hollow point, but I have not shot any yet so will have to see if they are any better with my gun ?

  18. Thanks Matt I have considered that it just feels wrong shooting towards a road if you know what I mean , as it is a busy road , maybe I am being over cautious ? I didn’t know if the air rifles had reduced range in comparison to the 22 so I could use it facing the field, as I have about a mile before I have to worry about people / livestock
  19. HI All Can any of you please give me some advice on shooting with FAC rated air rifles over 22 rim fire? Currently I have permission to shoot on land for rabbits but it is bounded by roads on 2 sides and a railway on another and fields on another. Between the railway and the land is a 3 foot bank one of the roads is 30-40 feet higher than the land, the bank is steep about 1in2 I don’t feel I can shoot safely with .22 rim fire as the land on the side of the fields is very flat and about 1 mile away is a farm house ! So to my question I have never used a FAC air rifle so I don’t know the

  23. Hi Catcher thanks for the reply I'm using a .410 hushpower as the land is not suitable for rimfire and I don't own an air rifle that I believe is good enough for rabbits. I can't use the 12g on there due to the noise.
