  1. 60m slide......... fecking good going that mate!!!!
  2. It might not be the clearest picture but that'll give you an idea of the size of a 20amp battery......
  3. good idea iam not doing very well am i...but just had a thought if it was like the minimum amount of amps you can buy how long should it last? the damb thing cost £150 so its a apasulute p*ss take if its only suposed to last to blooming hours Depends how much actual lamping you're doing, but if its a 7 amp running a striker, 2 hours will be about right!!! I take it it cost £150 for both the lamp and battery??? I use a 20 amp battery and it'll run a blitz, which is basically the same all night!!!
  4. And If he wins?? He wont, its fixed remember.......................
  5. I take it you mean Striker??? The 12v will be the battery, but its the amp we need to know ie 12v 7amp......12v 10amp.....12v 14amp.....12v 17amp....etc etc
  6. Have you heard the saying you're only as good as your last job??? WWell when mark goes out this comp, thats how he'll be remembered..........as the loser!!!!
  7. Sky + set to series link for me!!!!!
  8. This should be the best series yet that they've done, the first one of 5 is on monday at half 10 on BBC3, starting with deer!!!!!
  9. Dont count your chickens!!!! If you really think we're all scared of him why would we let him in the comp??? There'll be no driving around in a landrover for heats up here and the luxury of not lugging all your catch around!!! By the end of it he'll be hoping cat dont catch more!!!! I hope and pray i win my next heat and make the final, if mark makes it too all to the good, i'm sure IanB will allow him on here to publically say his world beating dog got beat by a 27in, too big for rabbits, useless dog from the pound...............
  10. So far i'm the only one through from the second heats, tomo and scouser are gonna run, lamp+battery and fieldmarshal are gonna run and W.H and mark, fieldy works off shore so its being run early jan, mark and W.H is as everyone knows it and tomo and scouser will do it when they get the time sorted between them.......... the final would've been the end of feb anyway as the moon is up most of that month, and if its in march, its no big deal, i've had 70 off some of the land in march so its not really a problem mate!!!!
  11. Did he not use anything on the wound itself??? How often did he say you should be cleaning it mate, hope he stocked you up with all the right bandages and dressings for that mate!!!! Is Storm insured??? When Bruce done this it cost me every penny, that was the wake up call for insuring dogs mate!!!!! How much did the greyhound vet charge you so far???
  12. Pleased i dont use your vets mate, the problem with cleaning it too much is you'll keep damaging new tissue growth, that should have been scrubbed out to start with and dressed properly, i would've thought any vet would've shaved it all back, cleaned it, dressed it and jabbed your dog up just for any risk of infection!!!! Leaving that open and then constantly poking around cleaning it, you're asking for trouble with air born germs mate!!!
  13. What did the vet say??? That should be filled with intra-site gel and bandaged and left for a week, then re done left for another week untill the gel starts to take effect and you get tissue regrowth!!! Bruce had this 3 years ago and he was up and running a month later, but the correct early treatment is vital!!!!
  14. I think i've made it quite clear what the situation is!!!!! But for those who are not sure, Markbrick has got the ball in his court, now he can either give the lad a break and be sporting by giving his dog a chance to heal, or he can say no its gotta be run on the 6th.......if W.H's dog cant run by end of january, then the decision will be taken away from them and Mark will go through on a BYE.........does that clear it up for you???
  15. We do have the final say mate, but people wanna see dogs matched against each other so Markbrick has the choice to give the lad a break and see how his dog heals simple as that!!! This aint the grand national, or the waterloo cup, its a simple lamping competition, thats meant to be a bit of fun and produce some good sport and craic for those involved!!!!
  16. Right then i've just spoke to Mark on the phone too and i'll explain to you where i'm at!!! We set a date for this heat to be run as there were numerous problems in getting it pinned down, as far as i'm concerned as it states in the rules if you are having a problem with arranging dates for your heat between yourselves then we'll step in a set a date for you which you'll have to run!!!! I've explained to Mark that if he decides he's happy to give W.H more time and be sporting about it then thats his call and the 2 of them can arrange for a new date to run their heat on!!! So the b
  17. World.Hunters needs to confirm he's out yet??? So far all he's said is that if he cant run on the 6th then he's willing to pull out!!! Rew and tomo will tell you the same, that when bruce hit that wall i didnt think he'd be able to run, and seeing as it'd already been put back twice, i was gonna pull bruce out, but After some advice and a few days rest he was looking better and managed to run fine!!! Injuries have a habit of looking worse sometimes, but obviously W.H knows his dog best, but the 6th has been set as the date by me for numerous reasons and thats when it's gonna have t
  18. Thats bad news about luckys dog mate........
  19. W.H are you definately out then mate????
  20. W.H what are you doing then mate......waiting to see how he is in a few days, or giving mark a bye to the semis???
  21. If i were you mate i'd change your vet, if they are happy to give you advice on a damaged vein over the phone without seeing the injury, they must be cowboys!!!! If i were you i'd get the dog to the vets and get it looked at properly, you should've used a non cohesive dressing initially, packed with intra site to keep it clean and moist, not a powder based product, his leg should've been wrapped with vet wrap to ensure even pressure to avoid any clots or circulation problems!!! The vet thats given you advice over the phone has left themselves wide open, if your dog gets infected and it
