    It was a good night, still surprised more wasn't on the ground tonight, but cant really add anything more than what CP has put, gonna have to get bruce back to the bone man and get his shoulder looked at again and his toe, but he'll be right for the final at the end of the month, thanks to woodga for putting us on his land tonight, hope you're feeling better soon!!!!!

    As max said its gonna be at the end of march when the moon's back down, thats the best time for lamping and will increase the chance of good black nights............. I think thats what mark wanted too..........

    Well tonight is the night we get the last semi final out the way, the weather is looking to be on our side so fingers crossed for a good result with plenty of sport for the dogs!!!! Chartpolski is judging the heat on woodgas land as poor woodga is under the weather at the minute.......... Good luck L+B lets hope the dogs go injury free...................

    One does understand where you're coming from............. ...............did you read all the pinned stuff at the top about it with the rules etc??? i think most of its covered there mate, but roughly it works that if one person has land and the other doesn't then it gets run on the land with permission, if neither have permission then its down to them to sort out where they run it and sort out a judge, if both people have it they have to come to an agreement between themselves and if they cant then land would be put on in the north east by us and they would be given a date to come up!!!!!

    The north/south thing just means people aint travelling from one end of the country to the other from the start, once the names came out the hats they would go on a card and that would be followed down the list, so all depends how many people enter from different parts as to how long it'd last. If there were only 4 people enter down there then if everyone is happy, we'll lump them all in one hat and everyone gets the luck of the draw, but learning from this one everyone wanted the first heats as close as possible to cut down travelling..........

    It'll be on a first come first served basis mate, but people will have ample warning before we start taking entrants........

    I think alot of people didnt want to enter this year as its been spoken about so many times before they didnt think it'd ever get off the ground, i'd hope that 32 wouldn't be too hard to achieve next time, so hopefully it'd be spread across the country a bit better, also with 32 dogs the prize money would be considerably more, also i'm waiting on hearing back about some sponsorship for it, which might generate more prize money or prizes of some description, so maybe those factors would encourage more entrants!!!!!!!!

    We were toying with the idea of the last competitor, the person pulling out beat, re entering but it was felt on this comp that once you were out you were out...........another idea is to let the first person in the reserve list coming in and taking up the heat, but we're not sure how this would work later on in the comp if it happens in say the semis, how it would work and entry money and the like.............these are all still ideas at the minute and we may not change the 'BY' rule yet.........

    The draw is gonna be done differently next time, in 2 halves of the country, it'll all come out the hat and onto a table, that will then be followed down the card with no exceptions, not that we wanted to do a northern v southern thing, but it keeps people somewhere near close ish to start without having to hand pick peoples names together!!!!!

    When someone in a heat cant run the other person gets a 'BY' through to the next round without having to run it...... Why change it....just giving yourself more headaches....keep it simple people know the script if you cant compete for whatever reason and an alternative cant be sorted out its a bye into next round....thats what happens in any competition....you cant please everyone mate...keep it simple! The reason why we wanna try and change it is people seemed to think that people could get through alot of heats without having to actually run. There's a couple of ways that

    Right then as you will know there was a few problems with the 'BY' thing this year, we've got a few ideas of how to get round this, but what are peoples thoughts on solutions for it??? Lets try and keep it constructive too guys............

    Unfortunately nobody has had any of there heats filmed this year, we will prob try and get the final filmed, so there might be something for people to get their hands on from this years comp, maybe next year more people will enter and get the camcorders out...........

    It'll be put up in july mate, with all the rules and left for a month to see who comes forward, then august will be a case of getting the entry money in, i'll make sure the post is pinned at the top so you can just pop on and see if its up mate. then september the draws will be made, this is another thing that is getting done differently next time, so hopefully there'll be less to moan about or people to try and pick holes in.........

    i had every intention of doing it mate, i even set up a forum for it...... .........but to be honest with you i dont think i can be arsed with the hassle of it along with running these lamping comps....... ......... i didnt realise how time consuming this would be!!! Ad that onto the fact i've got a 10 month old baby to look after, i'm going through an access battle in court for my other daughter and i'm in the middle of setting up my own business, then trying to fit working Bruce in amongst it all, i dont think i can be neither arsed or have the time mate........ .........i dont like start

    Just to clear it all up, the answer to whether mark will be allowed in next years comp is yes.......... ........... i dont have any problems with mark, yeah he can be a tit, but i've spoken to him on the phone several times and he is a nice bloke, nothing like the drivel that pours out of his mouth on the sites........ ........... if he wins it he has to be given the opportunity to defend his title and love him or hate him, it would appear he does have half decent dogs..........     The ones i've seen the inside of only have one gear stick so wasn't sure if they were always in 4 wheel drive??
