hi folks just like to see what others would do in my situation i own a first cross b/grey couple weeks short of a year old ive owned her since she was 3 months old shes been doing great with everything has got 20 bunnys to her name so far but the dillema i ave a couple of weeks ago she run a bunny and caught it but on the retreive she hit a electric fence she droped the bunny did a runner to the next field and hid in some undergrowth it took a alot of coaxing to get her to come back to me she was scared shitless i layed her off for a while gave her plenty off reasurence then decided to take h

i used to get the same problem with a neighbours cat used to sit on my shed roof winding the dogs up knowing they couldnt reach him untill one day he went a step to far and thought he could swipe a piece of meat when they were in there kennel guess he didnt figure the kennel door was open at the time lol fair game if you ask me as for in the field with dogs running free accidents happen

i always feed mine what they catch just skin and gut them dont know if this is true but a old fella told me a while back always skin/ gut / remove head first before feeding to your dogs otherwise when the dog is out in field and he starts seeing that rabbit as dinner hes not going to give it up for you would you give your dinner up for someone else lol this fella was in his seventies with a good story or two
