  3. she about 8 mnths old . i havent tried a rabbit skin yet, what i was just thinkin about was tyin a rabbit skin to a pieced of rope and pullin it so that it looks like its movin, maybe she'll chase it...would that work?

  5. right heres my problem ive got a young bitch that im tryin to bring on to work, shes showing the interest in the field but she just kinda lets them go...so i took the advice of a friend to try and get her just retrieving a toy or something first and teach her a tight grip, but the problem is, with a toy, she chases it, and god shes fast, but she pushes it with her nose, at full speed and then leaves it here, so i tried to put food in it so that she get angry when she couldnt get at it, but that failed once again... but the minute shes in the field, anything moves shes after it...but as i s
  6. blando, ive kept the lap right on foxes and they've come with in 4 ft of me and my lurchers, they are attracted to the lamp and with the lamp in thier eyes they cant see you..... so it dont really matter i wouldnt think so anyway

  9. mate i use a squeaker from a squeaker toy, cut it out and squeak away lol works a treat, squeaked 4 foxes in the last time i used it, really does work, if not the back of the lamp works well enough too...

  18. for those who read my "introduce yourself" thingy lol thought id take te time and post a pic of my deerhound x greyhound for you all to see shes the white bitch in the picture and that was taken at about 3/4 months, now shes about 7/8/9 months and standin a good 26" tall went out for a mooch last night and the bunnies were just all sitting in the thistles less than 2 ft away until they see the dogs sniffin after them, been takin my bitch our for a while but shes still yet to catch with me... shes comin really close but kind of letting them go what can i do to teach her to grab and
  19. i'd say either a collie cross with mybe a bit of bull in him, strong head and jaw line by the look of it. the hyperness could be through collie as you must know that they are very energetic dogs and the running them to ground not catchin them COULD be his hearding instincts.....you never know....
