  8. These are the snares i have set in my backyard to catch some problem rabbits. I am a beginner and would appreciate any comments or suggestions. All i did was tie a store bought locking snare to an iron nail that is pounded into the ground, i don't have tealers or anything of that sort. I would be willing to buy some if anyone shipped to Canada. Ill hopefully be posting some pictures later on of snared rabbits. thanks. this one is just a piece of 20 gauge wire
  9. thanks, noise and neighbors are not a consideration because im going to places that have very few people at all. The backstop is usually going to be a field or dense forest. And as for carelessness i think ill be able to handle it, thanks for the concern.
  10. Hey i was just wondering what would be the best rifle for the first time? I'm looking to shoot mainly rabbits, grouse and maybe maybe a fox. I would get a 17 hmr because it costs about the same as the 22lr but i was wondering if the extra money for 17hmr ammunition was worth it. thanks.
  11. I would just like to say hi to everyone and introduce myself. Im a 15 year old canadian kid from Manitoba Canada. I dont know if any of you know where that is but im very glad to be a part of this forum. Many of the topics on this forum are large parts of my life. Hunting and trapping are two of my favorite things to do. Thanks.
  12. hello all, I have been doing a small amount of snaring and a few days ago i had a rabbit either break or chew through my string where it attached from the peg to the snare. I was wondering if you guys think i have cheap string or what. Any suggestions as to what i should change to would be helpful. luckily the rabbit ran straight into another of my snares and i recovered him. thanks
