Just looking on ebay the company above seem to have a range of talpex traps etc at very reasonable prices,just wondering if anyone has had any dealings from there and what are they like????cheers.....................

The rooks are coming from elsewhere flying to my ground,otherwise i would have tried the airgun when they were coming in to roost,can,t wait to see how that trap performs though......cheers............

Well i finised making the ladder trap this morning,i added some short lengths of wire underneath the actual ladder run,apparently this helps stopping them try to get out.........now to see if it works......cheers for the advice

Wasting your time with a larsen for rooks, like has been said a ladder type trap or a large cage with big top funnel entry as well as ground level funnel will work best for rooks. The first link to the trap on the pigeon watch website, i would say the ladder entry point is too wide, a flap of mesh about 8 to 12 inches, hanging along each side of the entrance should stop any from accidentally escaping. And like ststed on the link, allow the birds too feed from the trap with a section missing for a day or two, then close the trap.... large numbers can be caught. We had rooks coming into

Some permision i,ve got rang me this morning and asked me if i could shoot some rooks with my airgun,the rooks are running havoc with the chickens taking 15 eggs this morning......Just wondering if theres other methods of either killing or catching the rooks as i think one shot from the airgun is going to send them on their way..........cheers..............

dissagree . must be i tidal river near.we got some of the finest chalk stream/rivers in the country round here,along with some excellent lakes for the specimen hunters.99% are fed by feeder steams.no eels though! i know most of the river keepers in the area through doing the mink hounds,the nearest keeper to have seen/caught an eel is miles away.how i wish we had them here.bait wise i use lob worm or roach head or have done well on chunks of fish. I don,t know about there must be a tidal river near,i used to live in essex and the chase lakes in dagenham used to produce some monster eels

If you type it into google they will come up[aint got a clue how to get it from there to here]/....i,ve got a striker set up myself,good beam but f*****g unreliable......on my next set up i know what i,m going to be looking into..........cheers........

I know someone who,s just bought the tiablo 10 torch and seems pretty impressed with it,hasn,t had it on for the full 3.5 hours charge that it,s supposed to last,but first impressions were very good beam,very good distance,wondering anyone elses opinions........Also how long do you reckon before people move from lamps and battery packs to torches............Not long i think bearing in mind how much torches have come on in the last year or so.......................cheers...............
