everything went well today. my feo was very helpfull and cleared all my land up to .270, and there was no mention of supervision conditions which was good. the only condition he did put on me was "no prone shooting" which was news to me ive never heard of this one before but lifes a big learning curve ad all that!, this was to do with some the land being flat, and i agreed with him fully and he said standing or off the back of a 4x4 is fine, just got to wait now, he said it will more than likely 6-8 weeks untill everythings sorted and back with me.then itll be has anyone else had any st

got my feo interview on monday!! yippee only took me 2 years to fill the forms in. he rang me on monday to ask me to get maps of the land so a long time was spent on google earth putting boundaries on all my permission phoned him tuesday to tell him it was done n he sounds like a nice bloke sed he wants to have a ride round my land with me to check it out and ask me a few questions. funny thing is ive got a dentist appointment an hour before he comes so im probably gonna have a numb face when im talking to him and be dribbleing everywhere hope he sees the funny side hopefully everything w

pissed off someones been lampin on my land with no permission and the twat who has his house next to my fields has cut his hedge with a tractor and churned the freshly planted field up without asking permission then he had the cheek to say theres no damage done!!! "WHAT A C**T

finally put my fac aplication in on sunday and put down on the form that i had no convictions. driving home from work this evening ive just realised that i got an on fine for not wearing my seatbelt 3 years ago that id completely forgot about. im panicing ever so slightly now what should i do i thaught of ringing the feo in the morning to explain my genuine mistake. i cant believe ive done this i spent so long filling in the forms and thought everything was going so well the policeman who gave me the fine said nothing would go on my record as i didnt get any points? hopefully someone here ma

went for a drive round the other week to pay a few farmers a long overdue visit to ask about permission. the result looked bleak, it sounded like they were just humering me [bANNED TEXT] they took the forms n said "ill have a think about it". but tonight one of the least promising ones left a message on the answerphone saying "ull ave to get urself down ere for a chat". sounds promising to me!!. should be able to put in for me fac now.

ordered a lazerlite, red hinged filter n a battery pack from ian hodge fieldsports in cornwall on the 30th of december n im still waitin to recieve it. i rang the shop but everytime i ring i get the answer phone and no-one has got back to me. has anyone delt with them before? is his kind of wait normal? i understand with the holidays n everything but the website says within seven days and usually posted the next working day. oh well just ave to sit ere twidlin me thumbs.

maybe not one of my best shots but deffinately one of the most memorable was havin a walk round my land one day with me shotgun. i had a pocket full of random cartridges that had been sat gathering dust in my dads cartridge belt, so i decided to go n use them up. put 2 of these cartridges in and a pheasant popped up and it was quickly vapourised , litterally. what i shud have checked was the shot size. the were sum russian bb cartridges. no wounder theyd been gathering dust.

just a quick one were do you write about a moderator on your fac aplication ? do you put down .22 rifle + moderator or does it go on a seperate line? just thought id ask before i cock this part of the form up.

whatever they are there bloody anoyin!!!!! there seems to be a never ending supply of them in small groups n there definately not partridge. at a distance you think your looking at a big bunch of rabits squating down then the flaming things fly off, if we'd ave seen as many rabits as we seen these "unknown" birds we would av been there allnight picking em off. cheers huffski for two good nights out lets see if we can get to the bottom of this i think a picture might be the best bet but there that fast it coud be a challenge.

hopefuly im off to pick up a 12 month old bedlington x whippet on saturday which a [bANNED TEXT] told me about. its a "free to good home" job n i was a bit put off at first by this but ive been assured that the dogs got no vices its just that the owner has lost intrest so im gona try the dog ne ways n see if it gets on with me labrador. i dont know wether its been worked [bANNED TEXT]. this may sound like a stupid question but if the dog hasnt worked/ been trained to work is it possible to train a dog at this age. this is gona b me first lurcher so any advice on training would be apreciated

try goin 2 an army surpluss store n askin for a webbing belt ane either 2 respirator pouches or 2 utility pouches depending on the size of your batterys these should be ok might need a little modification or extra securing .
