  1. I've got a threequarter Beagle x Quarter Lakeland, hell of a dog on old Reynard.
  2. We hunt 3 couple of Beagles and crosses, I'm after a couple more Beagles/Harriers or small Welsh/Fell (Bitches). If any one might be able to oblige and be in the position to sell one/couple it would be good to hear from you. Lenny 07867776690
  3. I've been after this breed for ages mate, the decent ones are rare as rocking horse shit. There's a lad local to me who hunts them, but he doesn't part with any. Best of luck.

  8. Its commom nowledge that some Cocker men outcross using a Springer every so many generations. The divide between Springers and Cockers aint as big as some would like you to believe. An old lady Judge/Trialler once said to me that a Lab is born half trained and a spaniel dies half trained..... Its what you put into them.
  9. A Benelli would be favourite mate and a lot cleaner in the action because it doesnt use the exhaust gas to load/eject the next cartridge. It uses and absorbs the enertia in the recoil for loading.
  10. Sorry WF, Should have made myself clear, I dont necessarily want a slower hound Ive only ever seen one of these crosses in the flesh and it hunted slower and more methodical but I didnt know if this was the norm or an exeption.
  11. Anyone have any experience of these crosses (not the Queen Anne legged type), or have any thoughts of them ?? for mostly forestry/enclosures. Would the Basset produce a slower hound ? All constructive responses welcome.....
  12. [im just wondering what people thoughts are on the isuzu rodeo pick up????????? Got an 07 Denver Max, bought it from new. brilliant bit of kit, on average returns about 36 to the gallon and 12000 miles service intervals. just ordered another new one, would highly recommend them.
  13. [ i've heard of a few collie x hound and x springers that were class on foxes in cover. the auld collie can add alot to a mix. i once bred a litter of harrier x lurcher(wheaton/hound). last i heard they were working well. Ive never really thought of crossing with a collie before, as long as the size wasnt compromised. I aint interested in my bushing dogs going to ground. Cant afford to where I live,
  14. Why not the whippet or the beddy whippet? Good nose but of pace and balls to spare. Would be interested in a pup if you do. Yis jonny. I did consider it mate.
