  4. Sorry where did you find that price was it on guntrader or brand new from an rfd?
  5. That is the exact one i want pepper laminate stock stainless barrel. If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it and was it new or second hand?
  6. The howa 223 is definately the one I am going to go for, it looks the bees and I have heard very little in the way of negativity towards it compared with the tikkas, maybe a cheap cz will tempt me but i already have a cz and would like to try something a bit different. Are there any god recommendations for second hand shotguns and what sort of price range? Are there any particualr makes i should steer clear of aswell? Thanks again guys

I'm out near market harborough and do a lot of shooting in houghton, I have had no problems with the ones i've bagged they've been in excellent condition good enough to eat :-)
  8. Seems like a good train of thought, which I hadn't thought of. I thought that i would be keeping the shotgun longer so maybe a new one would be better, forgot to consider barrel wear on a centerfire tho oops thanks NID

  11. Hi guys. I have been reading through the forum extensively for the last few weeks and have picked up some great advice from other members. But here's my dilema basically i'm going to be applying for a centerfire and a shotgun in the next few weeks and i'm still unsure as what to get. I was thinking of a 223 for foxes and some longer range work (i already havea 22 rf), and then possibly a 12g over and under for pigeons and other things. My budget for both will be around £1500 maybe slightly more. So should i spend more on the rifle or the shotgun and would it be best to go new second hand? Bee
  12. hi i just thought i would introduce myself. My name's sam i'm 20 nearly 21, i've got an fac at the moment and i'm soon applying for my sgc. I love the countryside i go shooting 2 or 3 times a week, beat on a few shoots and just love going out with my rimmie even if i don't shoot anything.
  13. Hi everyone. I have recently got my fac license and am just deciding which rifle to get. Originally I wanted to get an theoben eliminator due to its reputation as the ultimate springer. However since speaking to almost every gun shop in the country every single one has put me off getting one and advised getting a daystate or rapid. I really wanted to get the eli but feel I should go with the experts advice. So I am hoping someone on here will say the opposite and tell me what a superb rifle it is and that they are talking rubbish as I really don't want to get a pcp. It would be in .22 also and
