  13. Sorry to hear about your dog mate, hope he is back to full fitness asap Mine had a similar accident a few months back and was qouted £150 at 2am...by 8am it was £468 and continued upwards during the first 5 days until I discovered that my circumstances at that time qualified me for reduced priced treatment from the PDSA...my circumstances have now changed so hopefully no more accidents as my local vet, as you can see is very expensive and does not appear to have any more knowledge with lurchers than me

    New dog?

My mate had a cracking dog called merlin that sadly passed away last year and I know of another two around the dog showing circuit that are nothing to do with these lines and I dont think they gave it a thought when naming their dogs

    New dog?

in my opinion its your dog mate call it what you like...if you were not aware of these lines would you be asking the same question?
  16. I only responded to your post mate because you were letting people think that there was no offer to run the final later in the day and there was. I am also very concious of my dogs welfare and that is why I offered to run the final later. As I have said in an earlier post, I also preferred the gate method used by other racing teams but as it went in my favour i was reluctant to approach the subject, but had my dog fell fowl to the judging process I too would probably be a bit more keen to point out discrepancies and tips for future events....but I didn't so I am not Thankyou for your commen
  17. Excellent looking pups mate, if I wasn't at my limit for housing dogs I would be very interested in one of them like
  18. Just to state a fact...I offered to run the final later in the day when the weather was cooler and the dogs had had chance to rest but the offer was declined by the owner of the dog who won the second card.....yes it would have been nice to run the final and the organisers were prepared to do this but there offer was also declined....if the dog was pulled it was pulled not to do with not being offered alternatives but because the owner chose to...yes it was a different way of running the simulated coursing and it was not to everyones liking but that never stopped the dog from the second card r
  19. I might have miss heard, I know the lymph nodes in my dogs neck are swollen, not so much you can notice just by looking but once i had a feel myself when we got home you can tell. Will ring vet and ask where the infection is, you are too right it is what i paid him for lol Thanks for the info so it is not the lymph nodes that are infected it is because of an infection that they are swollen.....so its probs just summit daft.
  20. ok mate was just a bit confused...all nice dogs thats all
  21. forgive me if i have got this wrong and it is me that is confused?....but......you are selling a dog coz you got no time for him...and he is ready for this season....but.....you keeping these two pups that will not be ready till next...i dont see the point myself, surely you would want the dog that is ready?
  22. I went to my home town vets....and no them pics were taken at Bedale game fair earlier this year.
  23. Hi, just after a bit of information. All the questions I wanted to ask the vet went out the window once he told me the cost of my vist I had noticed that my dogs breath was getting a bit out of control and could find none of the obvious reasons for it...teeth, diet etc. so took him along to the vets yesterday who after checking him said his lymph Nodes were swollen and that he thought they must be infected, he gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. How do the lymph Nodes get infected, can i prevent this from happening again, and could it be something i am doing that caused it? I k
