i dont want it to have a hard name just wouldnt mind somthink im more keen on :tongue2:

  2. me mate just bought a smk2 or somthink underlever air rifle for the odd rabbit nothink to specail will they drop a rabbit??

yes .................if you throw the gun at the rabbit :icon_eek:

ive used one bofore just for birds wasnt to bad it seems 2 have the power

  3. foxes need to be controlled all year around, this time of year they are especially a nuisance to farmers,so well done lads keep at it and dont listen to the allmighty armchair hunters telling you what to do and when to do it.

i dont go out lamping this time of year but if i had a pup then i would, and if i was out walking the dogs during daylight and a fox popped up,then i cant say i would stop them

    well said mate :clapping:

  4. 3 rabbit's and a single fox will make very little differance to what there is around to run come september. What would you people rather happen, the farmer/sheperd deal with matter himself and poison/shoot every fox in the area so there isnt a fox in sight come september?

he rang us up what could we say no i dont want to :censored: if we did that he would get other people there you got to do it even tho its not nice but theres just some wankers on here

  5. If you are a pest controler by profession or have extensive permission which needs controlling all year round then fair enough you have to be seen to be controlling numbers.

But imo most of the people who post on here are not any of the above, and are just killing for the sake of killing. Come September there will still be enough young niave rabbits to bring a young dog on, but the majority of breeding will be over with and the nights/days will be cooler. A dog works hard enough during the season, do they not deserve a bit of time off, when traditionally wildlife was given a chance to breed to help maintain the balance?....It also helps to extends a dogs working life for a few years.

These people will be the same people complaining they never see numbers as big as that when someone posts a good night out with 20+ rabbits caught. And they dont have the sense to realise why

My dogs chase during the summer and occasionally kill during the summer, but it is few and far between and very accidental.

I know some of you young lads cannot see the point of traditions, and are used to everything you want NOW. But traditions are there for a very good reason, if the thought of leaving young to die slowly without its mothers milk/protection does not bother you, than you are in the wrong game imo.

    MOLL.

Wise words the Moll  Could not agree any more.

im sorry to have upset people but the farmer has got a liven to make from his stock and that fox was doin damage we called the fox it and shot it and as you all no not every shots a clean kill so to stop it from dieing in pain we sliped the dog to catch it was killed instant ;)
