smart bitch u got there gvc.what was in the mother?

I'm hoping fuji would be able to shed some light on that, as the breading i have for her is mainly names rather than breeds.I believe she is a lurcher line heavily saturated with collie blood on both sides. I have just bread a litter of pups from her to an excellent 1/2 cross dog.

    what type of 1/2 cross?

A half cross collie greyhound. All the pups have been gifted to working homes.

  3. Heavily saturated Collie crosses ain't for many people when it comes to a hunting companion..no they ain't going to impress on the Fens or on them big bunnies in the main but just about ANY other type of work you can throw at a lurcher then a heavily saturated Collie lurcher is capable of performing to a decent standard..i like having one around me, mine has the nigh on 3/4 Collie in him and the rest is just lurcher with hardly any Grey blood at all.Never faltered at what ive thrown at him..if it breathes from the smallest to our very largest he will do it,lamps,ferrets,hunts..don't be put off with all this bollox of being too slow in general..Canon11012_zpsbc8b3f43.jpg

I have a bitch out of this dog and I really can't stress enough what an excellent all round hunter she is. She has excellent coat, nose feet and stamina. She works very well with a gun and will hunt anything when out mooching.

  4. You could try contacting The Doug de Bordeaux Club of great Britain. They have an excellent rehoming/rescue team.

All dogs are evaluated and the best that is possible for the dog will be done. I have worked with a lot of these re homed dogs and with the right owner and the change in environment. You will find most of this bread (not all as with any dog) will settle in to there role very well. Best of luck with her.

I like that dog more & more every time I see him gvc he's a fine animal ;) atb cbx

same here mate, hes a nice dog

Thanks lads I appreciate the comments. I had a real good laugh with him the other night. He accounted for 8 rabbits and to see the effort he puts in is amazing. Obviously rabbits are not his strong point but he managed body slam one of a stone wall snap a bottom rail on a gate and to top the night he brought one back alive. He is very entertaining to say the least. Atb gvc

  7. Nice animals lads. Is there anyone else with pictures of bitch's. I had a litter to a greyhound bitch out of my 3/4 reverse bred dog and these pups all work singlehanded dogs and bitch's. but they all threw very racey it would be nice to see what he produced to a bitch with some Wheaton in her.

  8. best rabbit dog i ever had in my life was off hancock she was a first cross border collie greyhound,, (rufus x nell,) it was about 20yrs back, never seen one as good since neither, wish i had one like it now.

Like wise my best rabbiting dog was a half cross bitch from Hancock a red merle out of Drooper I think he was a pup of rufus. She was the best i'v seen on the lamp and day time she hunted more like a cat. Not everyone's cup of tea but I loved the way she worked. She worked all quarry but rabbiting shevwas a cut above. I've seen some very good collie crosses on fox, and i've seen some shit aswell but most of the hype surrounding bullcrosses these days is only that "hype" because the bulls used to create them are nothing like in the same league as the bulls originally used to create the bullcross.Without the right blood your just setting yourself up to fail, whatever the cross..... ;)

very true you need the right blood to be in with a fighting chance, thats why went for my pup both from good lines top gsd and top greyhound , but you still need that bit of luck with any pup that you pick
As soon as you start waiting for luck in the breeding, well?.

That's a broad statement as with dogs horses foul and anything Else you can only put the best to the best and then hope for the best. As its been said before we are not dealing with robots or machines. They are all animals with there own brain and they make there own decisions. For me it's this that keeps interested in my hobbies.
