He's deerhound/irish terrier x wheeten/grey. im over the moon wth him it feels good when you wait so long and it pays off. And im in ireland catcher 1.

Went out last night with my lurcher to see if i could get him his first fox, i have held him back until now and i thought now would be a good time to start him. Lamped one in the field anyway and squeeked him in fairly close, slipped the dog and after a short run he had him. I'm very happy with him now because i've waited a long time and he's my first lurcher. I think ill leave them for a few weeks now though because i just wanted to start him of.

i was out the other day with a friend who wanted to get rid of some foxes over in ireland here and we bolted a young one but my dog just ran after it looking at, could of caught it easily, i think he was sort of puzled coz he never seen one before, he just kept noseing it and it ended up geting away, i was gutted. so he will have to be entered again with an experienced dog, every dog is different i supose. if i was you i'd let him in with another dog. atb

dont just let the pup run them his sell run him with a dog that [bANNED TEXT] doing them 1st couple him up a few of time and dont let he or she take to much pain our you could make the dog turn if you do it right you should be ok . What age is your dog you going run on Charlie ? 20 months mate

my lurcher has a bad coat too and i hand stripped him and he is just went nearly completely bald, and the hair that is growing back can be stripped out too. Is that similar to yours? I feed mostly bones and meat so i must try and change the diet to see if it makes any difference.

Cheers for the back up mate, I dont post many topics on here, I can see your point about the rabbits but as i said he is killing rats and shows no fear but at the same time foxes are a different story. Good luck with your bitch.
