Hi all. Can anybody send me a link to a decent roll of rabbit snare wire? Brass if possible and 6ply? I have been using bought snares but there a bit too small idprefer to make my own if someone sends me a decent link for some decent snare wire ? Cheers..

No it shouldnt... the snare should just hold the rabbit untill we come and dispatch it.. Rabbits have beats were they hop they dont run full speed down there runs unless under pressure...

Hi alll Got a nice long couple of fields to take sum rabbits... Ive snared in the past and had look a few times.. But. After setting 10 snares on good beats and decent runs that i have seen the rabbits using frequently i have returned to my snares every time to find 7/10 snares laying along the ground with a loop around the size of a golf ball and with rabbit fur caught in the eyelet.. but no rabbit. Reset snares and same again ... Just wondering ... Need a soultion these rabbits just seem to get out ? Cheers..[/color]

I'ts so easy when you no how its done.. me and my mate rang one farm and they went sure thats fine come down tomorrow we have rabbits, pigeons and deer stalking needing doing.. were going down tomorrow. can't wait.. all you have to say is you are wondering for a small plot of land.

I also agree with the theory that a rabbit wont bolt with smoke Although a keen ferreter . i thought i wud have a go anyway i peg the warren holes with purse nets then got a rubber glovee on stick , set it a light put it far down a hole as i could then covered the fire holewith a piece of wood then wait the black smoke will soon start to leak out of the other holes and through the nets. but ye it proves for me anyway that rabbits ont bolt with smoke get a good female ferret down there instead then u will have tight nets all day. thanks.
