  2. i have had both problems at one point but seperately the constipation was a horible thing to see their tummys swelled up to the point they couldnt walk. basically overnite [bANNED TEXT] the vet did was lubed up a thermometer and slowly and gently eased it up the ferrets butt to activate the ferrets anus and the lubricant rubbed off internally also which helped him pass things immediately it more or less made them go to the toilet immediately. i have also had what looked like whitehead spots on mkits round thier bum and genitals i never got them to the vets to find out about it as they

  6. decisions eh like rabbit hunter said you get out what you put in my advice would be get adog from proven working parents the only reason i wouldnt have a hancock dog is idont agree with the conditions the dogs are FARMED in and to buy one helps toward enabling it to continue the man has agood bit of knowledge but i disagree with what he is doing this is just my opinion

    lamping

ok lads hows it going.both my h/hawks have 2 tail feathers to go. im looking to start training this weekend.i was wandering if you could pass me on some advice on lamping. as neither bird has seen a lamp yet. but im fairly optomistic as any advice ive read has been great on this site my male harris flys at1/7 and the female flys at2/2. my mate usually keeps me right with the birds and will probably help me out this time but im looking for as much info. as i can.like [bANNED TEXT] would be the best bird to use my male or female or does it matter they will both be out wiyh the ferret

  20. can anyone recomend a lamp that fixes through the roof of the motor wi the swivel handle and permanently fixed.i cant seem to find any locally any brands and locations to buy them etc would be appreciated
  21. i agree with mik 1 dog is enough that way you can give it ur full tme and attention.also the temptation to stick 2 dogs down the same earth may get the better of you my personal opinion is 1 at a time.start with rats first and work up 2 bigger stuff from there dont rush the dog either.but as for type i personally have a rough coat pat/fell.that was wat was there at the time but id recomend a jack versatility 2nd to none.up in the n.e. of scotland here foxes earths ive noticed are smaller than the borders or south of aberdeen.the best terrier ive seen was a jack called micky dog owned by a prop
  22. stick with it. my patt didnt enter till18 months never went 2 ground she would have a sniff at holes go in a meter and that was about it.wouldnt rag a dead fox either. she worked a couple o rats and nailed a couple of rabbits and to be honest if id spent more time with her i dont know if it would have made her better but i did wander if she was going to be a non starter .she was at a dig just to watch once and got of her lead and out of the blue shot down a hole on a 2 holer and drew out the quary.had her out a few times since and whenever she goes 2 ground we get a bolt or a mark on her but t
