  1. Help me out chap, I am very curious after your comments......what were these BIG ADVANTAGES, of the Quad?? ..on the basis you paid £280 for the CZ and rate it...spot on out to 200yds, easy to clean, easy to use, easy and cheap to upgrade trigger Cheers if your new to shooting (or like the flexibilty) and don't really know the pro's and con's of each caliber, the quad offers the flexability of changing parts rather than the whole rifle to shoot different caliper rounds, .22RF, .22WMR, .17HMR and .17 Mach2 Didn't say the best or in any way better than any other rifle, the above
  2. CZ452 varmint .17hmr. I'm new to shooting, got a cz452 for £280 and brought scope, sling, etc. must say that for £280 i diddn't expect what i got.. spot on out to 200yds, easy to clean, easy to use, easy and cheap to upgrade trigger, shame the ammo is sooooo much!! However i understand the saying, get what you pay for, but for this money - i can't go wrong... Sako quad has big advantages, i seriously looked into it - so should you Good luck.

  5. you can't go wrong mate, best move i've made this year!! happy shooting I have .22LR, .17HMR and .22WMR.........................(they are tools of my trade and ALL have a use) Before you get too excited about the HMR did you consider the .22WMR..it's very good for foxes too and the ammo is a tad cheaper than HMR! ...just me off again on my crusade...but I promise if you use one you will love it!!! yes, £22 per 100 is not the best priced ammo - bar far!
  6. they seem to be a good choice, great for new shooters aswell as long time FAC shooters. would need to seek advice regarding fox shooting as not sure if the hmr is up for them...? rabbits - 100% yes!

  8. After having my FAC and CZ452 for a few months now i'm really getting used to it and loving the rifle. ******Thanks for everyone's help getting me started****** Having zero'd my scope in at an advised 100yds, put 100 rounds through it and magaged to get groups of 2.5'' at 150yds it was time for a little ''getting used to'' time! managed to pick off many pigeons on the fields at between 30yds - 150yds, getting between 5-20 rabbits a night lamping. and then, a moment i'll never forget, the exact spot i use for placing my targets, a squirrel started digging a hole (his own gra

  13. it says - the .17hmr rifle, sound mod, and ammo, shall be used on land deemed suitable by the chief officer of police for the area where the land is situated and over which the land owner has permission to shoot (that may explain it but i'm so concerned that i stick to the law etc and dont loose the fac) just need it explaining in basic terms!
  14. hi all, got a quick question. I've spent a while looking at different laws tonight (on-line) and can't seem to answer my question I have a FAC, using a .17hmr I live in a very rural area, a bungalow with just under an acre of rear garden, half acre of front garden. (so rear garden is about 50 yards from road) i've got a house each side of me,with only wooden fences deviding the rear gardens at the back of my garden is a 450 acre field Question is - can i shoot in my garden?? Mainly targets don't want to break any laws. neighbours are quite happy for me to shoot ''now

  18. Hi People, selling off my Edgar Brothers Model 60 .22 Air Rifle. A fantastic air rifle and well respected by many retailers and users. Just below the 12lb limit so no licence needed.(always best to join the BASC in any case) It's about 8months old, just been cleaned and oiled/greesed by the gun shop. Works perfectly and has always been used correctly and with respect There are a few scratches on the stock that could easilly be waxed out As you can see i have removed the standard sights as they interferred with the scope!
