    hi there,covered my bitch with my own dog, shes 3\4greyhound1\4deerhound and nearly 6 and hes first x saluki\greyhound back to a first xsaluki\greyhound making the pups 5\8greyhound1\4saluki1\8deerhound,does any of you boys have or work this kind of x and what do you think of it oppinions please.heres a couple of pics of the dog and bitch

    thanks mate,the red dog is saluki/greyhound back to saluki/greyhound the white one is a pure greyhound wee black dog a clusterfuck but he has a great nose

    get him out hell soon pick it up! TIP if the rabbit you are lamping starts to head for a wall,hedge,bush etc shake the lamp side to side to turn it back out into the field! it works most of the time. thanks mate advice gratefully received

    Two fine lurchers mate, go to search and type in training a lamping pup, read the article and try it before going lamping. typed it in bud but it keeps returning an error saying i am using shortened words

    hi boys and girls got a bit of adilemma i have a 23 month old saluki/greyhound dog that i bred myself well here goes a bit about the dog hes 100per stock broken will walk to heel will hunt up when told to recall 110per will mark burrows will jump a 6ft hawthorn hedge 24 longears 9 roe 4 fox heres my problem i have only been lamping twice in my life and dont know nothing about it so is it to late to start him would i be better getting a pup and start from scratch as i know running in the dark is a whole different ball game and if it is not too late what is the right way to start him heres

    hi folks,I've had a few whippets over the years,brilliant wee dogs,but what youv'e got to keep in mind is a whippet is built for skooting and for the people that keep whippets you'll understand this. it runs a certain way using it's back legs to propell itself only just touching the ground with its front feet so when you put that on rough uneven ground or sinky ground basically they just don't go but should you get it on the right terrain ie:flat,good to firm, then you'll have what I can only describe as the perfect rabbit dog, bearing in mind you would be hard pushed to run more than 100yrds

    hi mate some nice pics there must be great to have a dog that can catch a baby hare on the lamp was it crying after the first turn have a bit of respect for brittains fastest mammal and let them get to a decent size

    you need 2 come round our end then suzzi ive seen some good whippet x box fantastic same with collies x espiesiely on the lamp what makes you think whippets have no stamina when x with another dog like i said all x can box depends on what ground your working after reading your post i will post you a pic of a collx whippet greyhound x deerhound that kept hare in the field regularly the mother was pure whippett i wasent meaning on a lamp soley daytime runing of hares (pre ban of course)i and a think that a whippet x would run out of steam long before they could get to boxing with a good w

    i have kept runing and coursing dogs for atime pre ban and today and in my oppinion they need to have saluki there .i dont believe that a whippet or any other cross would have enough stamina to box a hare
