  1. i fish a lot at cloonahee and nablahy and scur we may well of met at some stage where in jamestown not terrys place with the tackle shop at the back??? im 15 mins from jamestown where on the suck do you fish i fish donanom,athleague,castlecoot etc one of the best pike waters in ireland cheers bb

  3. thats a monster of a fish mate, jacob ive had a good few pike 17/18/19lb i thought this one was going to break the magical 20lb barrier which i aint managed to do yet and when we wieghed it i coud;nt believe it 2 oz short but it will come one day

  6. its nothing like it use to be i dont know why could be pollution etc but i have had some hugebags of bream and tench over the years but its a lot harder now to get ton plus bags the anglers are not coming here like they were a few years ago Seems to be happening quite a lot of places lately mate?? starnge isn't it Macca.. yep and it does'nt help when the f ing eastern europeans are eating every thing they catch from 2oz to 20lb and now there netting rivers and lakes through out ireland something needs to be done and quick before they fleece all the waters cheers bb
  7. its nothing like it use to be i dont know why could be pollution etc but i have had some huge bags of bream and tench over the years but its a lot harder now to get ton plus bags the anglers are not coming here like they were a few years ago
  8. im on the roscommon side of kilglass lake the silver eel pub have you fished many of the lakes and rivers round here

  11. irish lurcher believe it or not that is flood water its like that every year but plenty of lakes near by lough lea, finlough, cloonfree kilglass i could go on and on irish lurcher there is 63 lakes and the shannon with in 7 miles of my frontdoor so im spoiled for choice cheers bb

  13. a 19lb 14oz pike caught at glasson athlone co westmeath on a bulldog trolling lure the one that didnt get away

  15. shes 16 weeks frank and 18" and will eat anything and i mean anything the sire is whipp/grey 3/4 grey/bull the dam is 3/4grey bull i have high hopes for this bitch fingers crossed
  16. Badgers have delayed implantation also fish. so do pine martens mating in july or august the female does not becomes pregnant until about january a litter averages about three young and are born in march or april
  17. this one was very placid it didnt hiss spit or wale you can see in the pic used a coat hanger to lift the trap as the handle is bust wouldnt put my fingers anywhere near them sharp teeth this martin is quite small and proberbly a female they go a lot bigger than that It was probably placid because you had caught it before and it just fancied another runn in the car :whistle: i never thought of that ricky

  19. im pretty sure they dont find there way back becauce they are released 7/8 miles away there is thousands of acres of plantation around us which holds good numbers of martins the only problem my mate has with keeping bees is the martins cheers bb
  20. yes juckler had trouble with badgers breaking into the hives as well so put them up on oil drums that stopped them but not the pine martin so had to trap them and release them a few miles away
  21. firstly i must stress they are all returned safe and sound a few miles away and are not culled cought plenty of martins with my mate next door who owns the land around me this is the second in as many weeks they had been busting open his bee hives for the honey out of about a dozon hives i think he has one active one left so the martin is a bloody nuisance to him and easy to catch if there about just bait a cage trap with honey/jam or peanut butter and youll have him in the morning this beutifull animal is a common sight here they were supposed to be introduced by coillte [foristry com
