Lurcher training, how hard?

are you saying you call call any pup back at the age of 12 weeks wish i could mat no way have i ever seen this he or she will do it if there is no other dog or person around but never if they are around My 12 week old lurcher pup comes everytime hes called. Even when there are other dogs or people about. -
Some man my grandparents knew had been on shoot and sent em some pheasents by next day delivery 2 weeks later post office called 'we've got a parcel for you and its crawling'

My pups quite similar

I was walking my grandparents lab whos as soft as anything and great with other dogs last year. I took her down the field behind my house and let her off. Then we saw this man with two little girls walking two staffies. They then see us and charge at us ganging up on the lab. She not suprisingly sticks up for herself and pins one too the ground While the man runs up and grabs the other one. I put the lab on the lead and the man has the cheeck to turn around and say 'you shouldnt been allowed to walk a dog like that'.

Cheers everyone I was impressed at how well his recall was. This was his first walk at first i let him drag his lead he came back everytime he was called. So i took his lead off and he was still perfect, even with distractions of other dogs.

The reason is shes my mums friends and my mum has said she can walk the dogs during the day while im at school. And shes said that he would need to be muzzled. I said he wouldnt need one as he has been socialised with family and friends dogs. And has great recall already? Cheers for the help guys

I was talking to a dog walker the other day And she said that when i started walking my lurcher pup I would have to muzzle him I dont really want to muzzle him. What are your opinions on muzzling lurchers? cheers

Does it happen when the lurcher pup first starts to go into play mode when its full of energy ? Yes i suppose it is He gets a run in the garden and chases a ball for a while.

My lurcher pup is starting to get a bit rough when playing with my terrier. Its starting to get a bit aggressive. anyone give me any ways of correcting him for this And other bad behaviours that will need correcting.
