right so that's sorted now i just need to get my new gun and find a decent scope, if anyone has suggestions please do go to my other thread.

So at the moment i have a loser 4 x 20 scope on my gun, i was wondering is there much difference from that to a 4 x 32 scope, or should i just spend the money and get a proper scope. If you have any suggestions can you give the full name of the scope and how much you got it or seen it for.

If i had the money at the moment i'm sure i would take you up on that offer, but at the moment am just getting ideas, I plan to get my new gun during early winter then go winter hunting, i hear it's hard but rewarding.

Yeah from what you say and past experiences, i think be best if i just get a nice comfy percision in a hedge or something, so i'm actully part of the surrondings.

Hey thanks for the tips, i noticed on my last hunt that a tree i climbed really helped so i guess its all about the patience, camo is proberly just for your own self pleasure.

Now i've killed a few of them quite easily but i have noticed that they see you from like a mile away, and creeping through tree lines just ends up making more noise. I have yet to try Camo clothes, dunno if it will make much difference. Any tips?

even thought its the XL Tac, i much prefer .22cal rifle's not much of a fan of .177. Whats the FPS on it?

Hello, I'm basiclly a new commer to the hunting zone, but i have got alot of knowledge and small experience. So my current gun is a .22 Cal Meteor Mk6 (BSA) i love it, but it hasn't got enough FPS for me. Now i have had a real good think about getting myself a XL Tactical (BSA) but then the price is like £300-£400 so i assume i can get better or equal guns for a lower or nearer price than that, so under £200 would be ideal otherwise under £350 after some saving. I have been on a few hunting trips with my dad and my uncle but now the new owners have denied us permission to shoot

Just joined today, good post. Magpies are horrible creatures, along with crows there my top hated birds. It's been a while since i've seen such powerful pistols, i am a good fan of the rifle's but i would always want a side arm similiar.
