    Im here,, But there does not seem to many southerns on this forum,,Its all up north. Well hello there rod&dog it looks like its just down to me and you then to keep the rabbits under control in the west country (unless theres more hiding somewhere)

    Where have all the ferreters /lurcher men gone in and around the bristol district ? i started hunting many years ago and used to hunt with lurchers /shotguns or ferrets 3 or 4 times a week but slowly we all got wives and kids etc and had to work more to keep them we all drifted apart etc so hunting was then once a week on my own if i was lucky so now the kids are all grown up iv got more time and iv got my 13year old son in to it now with his own lurcher and ferrets etc and he loves it so was wondering if there is any other 40 something old gits out there still doing it in and around the bris

    Well you know what they say !! You pays your money and you takes your chance ... Iv had all three over the years and lots of them my own and company 4x4s in my view you cant better a landrover ....parts are cheap and easy to get hold of ..discovery or freelander both about the same on mpg and insurance so your better getting the discovery as its got more room ie more dogs and more kit .Hope this help you make up your mind .....

    iv got 30 x 8mm ali poles all free of charge so it doesent matter how many i use within reason

    Two 15 foot deben ferret locators plus 15 foot collar all in very good cond and in perfect working order both locators and collar come with brand new batteries .I'v used the coller on my ferrets and my terrier in the past a very usefull bit of kit to any ferreter . £170.00 the pair ... These 15ft locators are fetching over £100 each on ebay so why not buy the pair and put the other one back on ebay and make a profit

    I was just wondering if anybody from the old Bristol Longdog and Terrier club was on thl ? in its hay day it was the club to be in as we had members from all over the place joining .The club used to put on 2day shows under the NLRC rules /lamping nights/trips to iom for hare coursing etc it was a club for its members untill a few Dickheads came and upset the whole club and then everybody walked away and did there own thing as far as i know there no lurcher/ ferret clubs in Bristol now ?? But as they say all good things must come to a end sometime . Anyway thanks for reading kev
