Think theres still some good one out there but getting less though before the blacks everyone had borders , border lakeys & russells my dad had some good borders in the 70's 's theres some good lines of working Borders out there and more Terriermen are working them a lot of pups going to working home for fox work NO need to cross them what have seen bit on the hard side

a parks bred dog from flint to a bitch well bred "ev" breeding seems to be going well dug him 4 times now he,s a bit hard but im sure he,ll steady up still a bit ov an egg 16 months old so going to leave him now till the end of the year atb chris got a dog excact like that nice dog bud

the season is over for whom??? some of the lads have lots of pest controll to do before the damage is done to pheasants etc. waidmann cheers bud a would be still working him as he is still young and needs as much as possible cheers

Your right, very, very few undiluted still about. Yes she was and still is some bitch although at 8 years i'm careful where i put her but she's not a bitch that will just sit in a kennel and needs to still work. Didn't see task work myself but i worked a son of hers who is the grandfather to these pups and worked the father very hard, who is 9 now. Wayne A and a few others are given pups from every litter i have to make sure i get honest feedback from good digging lads and it also makes sure i don't slip into kennel blindness. its a bit young dont no much about the breed but a would give it a try one of mine lakie cross only has one testy still does the job lakie x russel asweel most folk say they dont work cheers -

Not trying to put you or your dogs down Dev, but that works out at roughly 10 digs per dog all season which isn't a lot in fairness, wouldn't you rather have 2 dogs with 20 odd digs a piece? 3 of them only started this season, one pup had 3 digs towards the end of season, 2 other pups had 7 digs each, my bitch had 12 digs as she missed the first part of the season due to pups.and my dog had 19 digs. dogs are easily lost rabbit hunter as im sure you know,if i had only 2 with 20 odd digs each then i would now be down to a single terrier as i lost my dog after his last dig. it suits me much
