  1. ive never done any form of sea fishing but u know thats not a 5lber, i think your mate was lieing to you
  2. i watched the half hour dvd in the AT the other week and it was absolutly brilliant! i was glued to the tv, im gonna get the series weather it goes on tv or not just give me the witch doc potion put it on my dogs lamp gun be well away put my dog against any one then its mad how that worked, i want some of that myself, might catch summut then
  3. trust me on this one, liquidise a white loaf minus the crust (cheap as possible) then take a few slices of decent bread for hook bait. then just ball the crumb in or use a feeder. if you have no faith in it then just take it along with your normal bait and give it a go some time during the session. i promise you that if there is a chub there then it should be fairly instant take

  5. well done. i love fishing for chub, you can always count on them for a bite when the goings tough. i much prefer bread flake though, instant bait if a fish is in your swim
  6. i dont see the problem with the show, i quite enjoyed it. its entertaining and not every fishing program has to be like a passion for angling, although that is one hell of series. yes the guys a bit of a nob but so what? the only way fishings gonna get on tv is by having some form of celeb doing the fishing, plus its good to see the messing up instead of perfect fishing every time. now you tell me that every time you go fishing that it goes perfect... it doesnt, you get tangles and hook pulls especially when its the first time you have done it. good program i say and nice to see different form
  7. thanks for that mate but to be honest i didnt realise that you could get one for under thirty quid although i hadnt looked that much before as i only took up piking in the summer and dont really do that much more of a trout man myself. people have opinions and can express them but there are ways of wording things that get points across without causing a war your right but some people can get abit passionate about their thing.but i do have to say that fish welfare is paramount, unless your gonna eat it then bash its head in :aikido:
  8. if you didnt want to buy one, you could always put some foam (like the stuff you use for a cot matress) inside 2 black bags then tape them up. i can see what you mean about when people get abit too opinionated though
  9. Haha very true for many of us. I too ask for some strange reason, i think its the old brownie points right enough. Build enough of em up and it can help no end....
  10. unfortunatly ive got to agree with you, i like to think i can do whatever i want when ever i want but in reality i cant
  11. ive been out in some cold weather but ive never had ice form on my rod before!
  12. nice one! looks like one hell of a haul, especially for one night. . i thought that if they were shiny then they would get seen but if thats bollocks then i just need to crack on with me letter and get posting
  13. heres a question, has the marine bill come into play yet? and im sure bow huntings illegal int it?
  14. dont use rusty scales mate they make you look a c**t and what you mean you were givin a rainbow go catch your own mate i never turn down a free meal valley, just wait til i come down your neck of the woods, im gonna have your missus cooking me a 3 course meal . you dont look like a c**t mate just a liar whats been caught out
  15. a couple of the chub were about the same length as the trout but chunkier, but i dont know how much they weighed though. the only reason i know how much the trout weighed is because i was given a 2lb rainbow from a fluff flinger and mine was a little bigger
  16. then bang them on a trace n treble n catch yourself a nice winter pike

  19. f**k the carp off and get on the silvers, id even go smaller than mags and use pinkies. bread punch should work well
  20. the snares have arrived and these are the measurements: the tealer is 9.5" and the noose if done the way of g.s waters drawings would be 7.5"-4.5" instead of 7.5"-5.5", now would it be better to make the loop 6.5"-5.5" or make it 7.5"-4.5"? they are 6 strand and bloody shiney! so i might have to leave them outside to dull for a while. i must say that i didnt get them off anyone on here though.
  21. ive heard of silverdale but i thought this was some where else, i typed it into google earth and everything!
