  1. I use to do taxidermy, many years ago started young, and was finally taught the skills by a very exp taxidermist,i was doing small mammals, squirrels and stoats, ect from 150 quid upto 180,depending on how good or bad the animal was when given to me. Something i wished i kept up,as its getting quite widespread now, Mick

  7. cheers bill,,and welcome back on line matey...only another 6 weeks and we can get back out,,, I regularly shoot with Micky, lets just say,he knows his stuff, and is very professional about his work. These guns are his tools for his job, unlike some people who collect for the sake of it. Many of the weapons chosen and taken out for their intended use, are needed for the job intended for.
  8. Cheers mate,,yeh just love guns,,lol,,as for armoury its a underground nuclear bunker,, ,,,,nah just 2 large cabinets.next to each other.but am thinking one day converting a spare room. Mick doesn't matter how many rifles you do or don't need, the bottom line is he loves them so who cares if its 2, 10 or 20. i technically don't "need" 5 surfboards but i have 5, and i ride a different one dependent on the conditions and what i fancy at that particular minute ( i change my mind a lot about stuff) either way they all look awesome! do you have an armory room dedic
  9. Hi mate,im not saying 2 rifles wont do,it will for most guys, but the shoots i have, and what i deam safe or unsafe for a particular rifle, yes i have all 10 rifles, but 4 with nightvision on,so day rifles and night rifles, easily justified, and they all get used. I could say or ask,,why do guys have 2,3 or 4 or more stalking rifles,or air rifles, and esp shotguns all do same job, with same power.and most rifles with day optics on. Mick I don't know if I am envious or not. I only own and use 2 rifles - a .22 and a 22-250. As for justifying them all on an FAC I.m not sure but about bu
  10. I can highly reccommend a few DVDs called How to shoot beyond belief by John Burns, for those that have not seen them.based in the states, covers long range shooting but there is one DVD that covers, pillar bedding setting up scopes using exbal you name it,very informative. sorry dont have any ref no,i bought a few weeks ago, just looking up shooting DVD,s they are copies but still worth the money. well worth buying,oh and available of ebay.very cheap. mick
  11. will move it to where u say,as for item no,not a clue,i bought mine a few weeks ago, just looked under shooting DVDs. Mick what item number is it . and you would have been better off putting this in the Hunting Clothing, DVD, Book & Equipment Reviews section . W.D
  12. I very much doubt ,i can shoot, what i shoot,in various locations, some large areas requiring 200 to 300 yds range, some small 30 to 50 yds and around farm buildings. and confined places.with the use of only 2 rifles.all my rifles i use for different situations and have a use . and as i DONT use a lamp.i work in darkness using TOP NOTCH US nightvision, only use light, when needed.and for safety measures. Mick Cant get me head round it all. FRom .22 to a .223 not a massive difference and you have 10 gun.I reakon you cound do everything you needed to with 2 rifles.Still good on ya mate

Mick Hi mickey, Ive only just got into shooting so only got an AAS200 but hoping to sell it and get a HW100 soon. I go out with ma mate evri so often tho when he takes his hmr. That hydrographics on your rapid looks cool, there supposed to be expensive though . Ryan
  15. Hi Sam yes im on 2 other forums,,lol As for why i have that many, diff cals for different lands, and diff vermin, and some with nightvision some with normal day scopes on, so,,very good reason to own. just like why have 2 rifle for stalking.both kill a deer, ? 10 rifles i use, I distinctly remember seeing this post on another forum :11: Regards, Sam
  16. Hi Ryan Not a clue mate, never added the prices up mate, but the nightvision is quite expensive too.and my other scopes that i dont use,and NV i dont use,,lol. I prob have too much gear. As for only 6 slots. not sure mate never heard that one before. what do you use out of interest ? Mick jees out of interest how much do you reckon al them guns are worth. Also i thought you could only have 6 slots on FAC :s Ryan
  17. yes mate,,close protection work is 'CP' close protection?
  18. they also have nightvision scopes on mate. What were your constabulary like when you wanted to add further rifles of the same calibre, How did you justify needing more than one rifle of the same calibre to them?
  19. cheers guys,,i also useguns inmy line of work,,either the M4 or sigg 552 and a 9mm glock,oh and also a minimi machine gun,,lol,,,

  22. Well my last week at home was good for me,but not so good for charlie, went out with billy AKA acton from this site, went up to one of my farms in wales, who has chicks laying eggs i also have permission on the 4 surrounding farms.anyway was up there on the 3rd june from about 4ish in afternoon,me and a mate set up on a bit of high raised ground behind the chicken farm which would let us look out onto my other permission.plus the land i was on.so quite a large area. The farmer and his wife came out to have a chat, and when he seen my bobbing fox enticer the farmer thought what the hell is that.
  23. They all have 13 days of freedom,,as will soon be home,,lol,,,im threaders and looking forward to getting home,4 months is too long a stint out here, should be a good break. forgot to mention too,out here, some sources bring in shit 9mm chinese rubbish that when fired, will hit the tgt next to the one your aiming at..lol,,which im sure hes aware off. Mick
  24. i also work in the danger zone, baghdad, been out here 5 yrs now, the main pistol out here is the glock 19,which holds 17 rnds,i also was pretty crap at shooting it,when 1st tried, but its one of them weapons that takes time, to get use too, i can now get good grouping from 30 mtrs but i know when i go home for 4 weeks then come back,it will be like ive used a shotgun, its all about how often your mate gets on the range to practice, also how he holds the pistol will have a big effect on his group which ive also experienced a lot. Mick
