been looking at a s&b 8x56 hungarian scope for my .243 would be used for both fox and deer fox shot's no more than 200 ish yards any good for the job

got a 16" style with hawke night eye scope on it love it never let me down,dont know much about the x bolt heard that it was nice rifle though.

Yes i was told by the vet that the one that haddnt dropped should be removed by the time he was 12 months old(if haddnt dropped)to prevent cancer,retain the other so he would retain plenty of drive for working.

Hi chaps,anyone got any ideas what range i should zero my .243 for 100 grn,normally i use 75 grn and zero 1" high at 100 yrds for mainly fox'n,but started going mainly after deer some fox'n,most of which 50-150 yards max,been told 1"high @50 yards so anything up to 150 straight at it? cheers

I have a 5 month old springer,unfortunatly only 1 of his testcals have dropped will this affect his ability to become a good working dog?not bothered about breeding so dont matter about that side of things,one vet i spoke to recommend that he has the ball that hasnt dropped removed leaving him just the one,but as most of you will agree quite a lot of vets are only intersested in your money and want to castrate anything that moves ,any thoughts would be gratfully recieved

.22 if your gona eat them .17 if you want to make a mess,.17 just to loud and easly affected by wind,zero the .22 to 65 yards and with a bit of practice you'll be taking bunnies out at 90-100 yards with subs, i use winchester seem to be most consistant in my cz.

Hi mate,My brother inlaw swears by his and wont even consider any other calibre,shot it myself and was very impressed with how accurate it was and how little recoil it produced as apposed to my 22/250 and .243.

Welcome mate,on the subject of irish staffs i used to breed them only lost my last one 2 months ago at 14 and he was a great dog and very slow to anger infact in all his years he never started a fight,loved my kids to bits,my mother used to say he was anyones for a big apple . I am great beliver in it's how you bring the dog up not the breed,only a bad dog will so aggression to humans,kids especially and not worth shit only a bullet!. still have friends that breed quallity dogs if interested.
