Hope he makes a speedy recovery mate.
It never ceases to amaze me how self centered people are nowerdays, I could really wish some bad shit on someone like that.
im just lucky it wernt me i could of been there hours before some 1 came and sore me , (country lanes ) i would of killed him if he stopped thou for speeding in bends , and the dog dont leave my side by roads he just didnt see the danger as quick as i did

Out hunting today with my harris hawk and springer , working the feilds like we always do and come to a road nothing in sight and all of a sudden some p***k comes flying round the bend in a transit van just about missis me but hits the dog about 20 meters up the the road and carrys on going not stopping or nothing ,ran up to him and thought to myself hes dead couldnt walk or lift his head . i then carried him a mile and half to my house no 1 stoping to help or nothing
got him in the car straight to the vets ,they check him over and said they dont think anythings broken and we will keep him in , drove home had a phone call a hour later to pick him up he was so stressed there and worked up ask can i get him , went down they told me to keep a close eye on him and see how he is and what to look out for they had x rayed him and didnt see nothing broken but swelling on 1 leg couldnt be sure ,
anyway hes home eating and hoping about now beening totaly spoilt by the family so fingers crossed hes be ok

what we used to do with our dogs who wanted to chase everything and get in the pens is :
let them in the pens with a muzzle on and on a chain tie them up and leave them there yea they used to go nuts for the first ten minutes but would soon get bored , do as long as you can, feed him there with the animals in the end he be ecxited to get out go let him out and if he runs back to the pen barking and trying to get in put him back in with the muzzle on and do the same again he will soon learn longest we done this to 1 of our dogs is a week ,
another way is if you got a horse , ram ,cow put a muzzle on the dog and let him in with them no leash on him can get tangled up . and let the dog go to them barking or try to chase them he will come off worse trust me , try this till he doesnt want to go near the pen they learn quick this way worked for all our dogs

hi im new to this just looking into starting with hawks do people normaly change birds with seasons and if so do they get rid of the old bird or keep um? id like a harris hawk does it make any difference if its male or female and could i fly it till its too old or would i have to change it? thanks
male harris are smaller and normally better on the wing for feather but still can catch rabbits ,females are larger and are still good on fur and feather u can keep your bird as long as you want and hunt them but most people get gossitis and want a goss after 2/3 seasons
