  1. LOL yes it is, I still laugh at Kye about that, he looked so surprised that it was so powerful :clapper: what the f' did he expect? It was a damn CATTLE PROD! Every time we see one anywhere it makes me laugh at him again, I can still see him down on the floor looking up at everyone  I always wonder if anyone else did that in that feed store, or if it was just the "Temple", Kye, GM and the scouse that did things like that?

it was the same thing when a geordie lad we had staying with us to train as a boxer, we had a blow gun that we used to shoot pigeons off the wall, Kye said something about trying it out, even handed it to him (not thinking to say take the needle off, just leave the plastic end on), so the lad actually shot the full metal dart! It was sticking out of the back of Kyes neck I think, and the look on his face was pretty much what it was like when he was laying on the floor in the feed store after the cattle prod incident ... classic and typical Kye! We had another friend there staying when this all happened, and not knowing the pair of them really well, he could not believe what he was seeing ... I'm used to it by now though  not much surprises me anymore, but I could still fill a book with stories about things hes done or had done to him

  4. does anyone know when the new b&f collar(smaller model) is due? thanks, its just someone told me today that they are already out

was talkin to the people at b&F said it would be ready for the start of next season,it will do the same job but is half the size

    & they are rechargable .

  5. The last two replies are the reason why experienced terrier men on this forum dont bother posting any more because the shapers and the know nothings always have a stupid answer for anything put up.Instead of mabye listening and mabye learn something.I have never seen a dog dug to on a regular basis (even the hardest of dogs) who have not come to grief sooner or later by a wiley old fox who makes him pay when he has the advantage. And i still dont understand how with locaters dogs are getting dug more frequently so they are more experienced than dogs that were dug without locators .I would have thought the longer a dog was to ground he would be learning more and be more experienced. At least i can get a laugh from the two Mr Einsteins who probally watched a few videos and then baught the t shirt

I'M NOT THAT OLD BUT WHEN I STARTED DIGGING MYSELF AND MY PARTNER DID'NT HAVE THE CASH FOR A LOCATOR, WE HAD TO LEARN TO LOCATE THE DOG THE OLD WAY AND IT MAY HAVE TAKEN 2 HOLES BUT WE GOT THERE. A 2 hr dig then would be a 30 minute dig now. If a dog

spews it spews. No matter how long or short, the thing to do is CULL, not sell on or give on.

  6. In the old days non bayers were no good hard dogs that got blitzed did not last long in the area where i live . as for what i said about the dogs what are used today having more experience . i know what you are saying about dogs that were getting dug too for 6~7 hours but the dogs most people have today maybe getting dug too 2 or 3 times in that same time + modern medications also help in the healing process . as for watching dvds i have never seen a digging dvd . i was taught by my my father who started digging in the 50s & he was taught by the old men of his time .

I suppose you are a very clever person or so you think ! you are a no nowt read youre own post mr novice .

  8. I can see where you are coming from with the 6hours+ digs , but as most lads on here know these are very rare . Gone are the old days when you turned dogs in sat back had a bit of crak and a cuppa etc & then after an hour or so to let the dog settle down with its quarry you would go looking for ( ear to the ground listening for the dog .) . in these modern times we have locaters that that helps cut down the locating time etc 2~3 hours . these dogs of old may have had longer time too ground but in these times our dogs are been dug too a lot more frequently hence in my mind they are been tried &tested a lot more .

  9. Not been funny but not everyone takes a camera with them for obvious reasons , they might also not want too attract too much attention to themselves as already been mentioned . I do know what you mean though ( nice dog / pup / hows it bred ) . this crack repetative .

  10. Went and visited a fairly well know terrier bloke today who completly ran my unentered bitch down.

Anywhos, this bloke who ant the biggest of fellas was obviousl never gunna span my bitch and said she was gunna be a liability. I can span her and i aint got paddles for hands...i can get my fingers touching under her and my thumbs touching on her back.

I was just wondering, iv seen some black dogs on here that are alot bgger built than my bitch, and was wondering if they have all been spannable and if not how much of a hinderance was it?

This my bitch in question, that is apprently fat aswell

Youre dog aint fat & she looks very much spannable to me , think the bloke could be jelouse , nice bitch ;)
  11. wheeler lines never heard of them till i came on this forum they any good and how they breed ?

wheelers are nuttall x working bull . very hard , tend to want to fight whats in front of whats in front of it instead of working it .

So do you know for sure my dog has wheeler blood in or is that your conclusion derived from your above statement?

Thats all well as long as it can kill whats in front of it ive seen dogs that can spend all day getting smashed up lots of heart but no faking brains

Like i said he was hard, never heard him bay. And he'd hunt on top very well also could find in tricky places, but I should have worked him more to get his full potential.

what I meant was P Jones kept wheelers & had some old Parkes stuff . was told he had crossed them a few years ago ,then eventually got rid of the wheelers & took bitches to J Parkes & put his dog TIGER over the bitches . A picture was sent into EDRD of 4 of the dogs . these dogs will be about 3 - 4 years old .

My mate has spoken to P Jones and he confirmed that the dog was buck parkes lines.

stand to be corrected about his older stuff
