  5. well im 99percent sure as my terrier was in the house at first and was house trained, plus the missus has seen the terrier coming out for a slash when shes having a fag at the back door but she rarely ever sees my lurcher come out.
  6. no the run isnt coverd, and to be honest i havent yet put the lamp on, i fitted it at weekend and tested it all out ready for when we do get the icey weather.and i put an old towel over the opening last year but it got ripped to shreads after a couple of days.
  7. hi all,ive got a problem with my lurcher shes 14 months now and since the cold weather has started to come in shes been pi**ing in the kennel she shares with my terrier.in the kennel ive boarded it out inside and put straw in for warmth and iv just recentley put a heat lamp in,im doing my best to keep them warm and comftable and now im worried the damp in the kennel is going to effect there joints.and it stinks.ive scrubbed it with disinfectant and bleech to stop the smell but when i check the next day shes done it again.there walked every night and all they both do is pee when were out.so why

  11. wont do them any harm eating whole, what would they do in the wild?!the fur and bits of bone will give them a good clear out in there digestive system.i gaave a ferret to a mate at 2 year old and he feeds meat all the time birds rabbits and meat from butchers and its 8 years old now!obviously dosent work now but to me it shows that meat is better than dry food.and he just chucks it in as it is,so dont think sawdust will effect them.
  12. after a bit of trouble yesterday with a letter off the neighbours about them barking,i went out tonight for a walk with the dogs, after about 10 mins on the field skye shot off dow the hedge line by the time i got there she was trotting back to me with a young rabbit just starting to get mixy, molly(terrier)was trying to take it but skye just turned her head away and carried on trying to bring back for me.now before anyone starts saying its closed season i should leave it alone till september and all that,it wasnt on purpose i was genuinly just letting them have a run about.but im really chuffed
  13. i do feel bad for them being woken up at 6 am and your right i wouldnt like it!but i have worked hard with my dogs and i know that they woulnt bark for no reason, they must of been disturbed, and then if they was peering over the fence there going to bark even more.like i said earlier iv slept out twice since owning them and i can honestley say you hardley ever hear a peep out them, the only time is if someone intrudes or they see a cat!if they didnt bark then they wouldnt be much of a dog!what i am pi***d off about aswell is i found chocolate biscuits in the run,so they have been in my garden to
  14. i know which neighbour it was coz she sent a xmas card and is the same hand writing.hopefully il get to see her tomorrow and talk to her face to face.im a laid back bloke and work on a 3 strikes and your out rule so il not react in a bad way now but if she does end up getting legal action on me then il be watering her plants with diesel and be a nightmare neighbour and give her something to moan about.
  15. they are usually quiet but sometimes they play abit, there is a cat that winds them up coz iv seen it.but like my mate said tonight i bet they wouldnt complain about them barking at a burgler trying to break in. as for where they live its cleaned every day,i scrub it twice a week with jeyes fluid and gets sprayed down everyday with the hose.i dont want it to smell as the kids and the missus are in the garden alot.the runs a good 15 foot so i know that if the rspca come theyd be more than happy with the conditions.and i would be pi**sed off if i got woke at that time but id have the curtusey to
  16. i got a letter this morning after going out last night off a nieghbour.iwent out with the missus to her dads pub and slept there.before i went out i walked fed and cleaned the dogs out.the dogs live in a converted shed in a 15foot run.i just want to know if they can seek legal action, this is how the letter read--- could i point out that while you have been out all night your dogs have been yapping and howling since 6 am.this is not acceptable,it is very unfair on all your neighbours and also on the dogs who are obviousley distressed.personally i do not wish to be woken at such an early hou
  17. i went out lastnight with the missus i stopped out at the pub, when i got in this morning i recieved a letter this is how it read. could i point out that while you have been out all night your dogs have been yapping and howling since 6 am.this is not acceptable,it is unfair on all your nieghbours and also the dogs, who are obviosley distressed.personally i do not wish to be woken at such an hour on a sunday morning, and this is not the first time this has happend!if you want to own dogs you should be more responsable owners,so please try to be more thoughtfull in the future, otherwise we may cons
  18. yeah mate ive got a patterdalex jackrussel and a beddy whippet x collie whippet.shes only 7months old so hasnt done out yet.but she is fast especially when she sees another dog across the field, shes gone!all the call back goes out the window.sounds bad but i wish one day soon a dog will give her a nip and put her off doing it. id put your white one to something the same as her or as close as for rabbits but if you want charlie and deer go bigger (wheaton grey, bull grey).depends what people are after.
  19. id say deerhound grey with a bit of bull.quite a broad head.your other dogs looks the bollocks aswell what is he bred with?looks like a giant muscley jackrussel!!looks very handy!
  20. no not as yet mate, only off alex and your mate.il have to see what they say tomorrow at work.
