    Hi I had a good weeks hunting and bagged my warthog. I used my 6.5x55 with 155gr Lapua Mega bullets. The bullet performance was perfect, good penetration and no meat damage. We stalked to about 60 meters and I shot the warthog from the shooting sticks. It was an old boar with the left hand tusk broken at the lip. Cheers Sweet

    Hi I am fine thank you, I stay in Johannesburg. So far I only hunted impala and blue wildebeest. I tried for Kudu in April but was unsuccessful. I will just have to try again next year. How long did you stay here? Cheers Sweet

    Hi I shot a blue wildebeest with my 6.5x55 using a 160gr Hornady bullet loaded to 2400fps. The bullet broke two ribs going in and one going out and stopped in the opposite shoulder. The core and the cup separated - the buck didn't go very far and I would not hesitate to use this combo again, I just wanted something a bit stronger. I now bought some 155gr Mega's and would like to know if anybody used them before, and how did they perform? Cheers Sweet
