    Guys I mainly use the "regular" fibre glass poles from Magnum trap Co, with grommets, but need to make a lightweight system and does anyone know where i can buy the thinner glass fibre poles and ideally grommets to fit them? Thanks James

    Guys Just had a call that 4 ferrets and 2 lakeland terriers were taken from a farm near Wickham, Hampshire. Will get more details shortly and will post. However the scum are now back to their thieving ways and now is the time to be on your guard and beef up your deterrents!! I have just got motion detectors and lasers around my pens along with various other presents for anyone wishing to "help themselves" but as my now lack of visiting friends will confirm, the ultimate deterrent roams 24/ 7 by the hutches....in the form of an imported working GSD!!!     Guys After an early morning rabbiting job we were close to salisbury livestock market today, so pulled in for breakfast and viewed the livestock for sale, including 4 large boxes with 5 plus ferrets in each. All the ferrets were well looking and the bidding on each was around £1 to £2 per boxful! Ridiculously cheap....if only had not spent my last quid on a cup of tea! James

    Guys I have now given up with those collie sheep based cur lurchers and now acquired a pair of this years lambs as my net watchers....still old boy Frank is still getting to grips with them, but hey this was our first day out with my silence of the lambs!

    Unfortunately being the "office boy" my evening and today have been interrupted with emails and calls from many bizarre and odd characters requesting rabbits thanks to sock's tv antics.....never knew so many people had Hungry snakes require rabbits for nothing!

    Guys just clocked nearly 400 miles "breaking in the Hilux," on an urgent mission to collect 90 plus imbras and other items that Heritage had kindly refurbished after many years of abuse care of the landmark rabbit team!!! These are urgently needed by socks for a very urgent weeks trapping prior to a royal visit.....the work starts early tomorrow but with most of our traps out already, we had none available for this last minute job and Heritage really did come up trumps, and Christ how good these traps now look but more importantly work!!     Vin Sadly the ferrets i got from the pugs and drummers stand escaped man many years ago, and so i have none of this breeding....my baseline today is a black eyed "coney catcher strain" and interestingly Chalkwarren and i were looking at some old video footage the other week showing the great great great grand parents in his ferret run....if only we had those beasts today !!     Guys Had an interesting day at the Hampshire country show at Netley Marsh yesterday morning, and had good conversation with a fellow rabbiter about todays quality of working ferrets. In my view not all ferrets work and the general working quality is not what it was 20 plus years ago? Too many breeding micro, wild polecat and show ferrets.....all too often untested in the field. In the late 70's and early 80's only working ferrets were kept, and those not making the grade were sent to the big warren in the sky!! You could pick up kits from most sources and have guaranteed w

    Guys Guys forget the anti, vivisection, dog baiting theories, as CW states these are being taken by rabbiting fellas.....albeit on the dark side of life.......and yes we have had a lot of info over the last few years although the epidemic is now much worse...there is no secret an under 16 year old from a well known member of a terrier/ lurcher club was picked up in Southampton in the early hours of a week day morning, with a pillow case of stolen ferrets....the police returned the ferrets and the lad was let of.....then again this year gloves/ balaclavas were collected at another ferret br

    Guys Yet another Ferreter has been raided on Sunday with 5 ferrets stolen.... 1 silver dog, 3 albino Jill's and a sandy Jill in brockenhurst, hants. There is a reward for any info leading to the return of the ferrets or prosecution of the thieves. Nearly everyone I know has been raided this year and surely someone knows something.....and it will only be a matter of time..... James bradley

    Well after all my mates,such as Phil lloyd, old frank etc, had their ferrets nicked, they finally raided me tonight. Better still, the ferrets were at my mums house, as she is looking after them because I have been unwell and been and still am in hospital after major surgery. Fortuately Many of the ferrets have been found walking around the garden and up the road. If anyone knows anything and wishes to help recover the stolen ones or and put an end to this please feel free to pm me for my number. I will happily offer a reward.     Guys After a week with no thefts, just had a message from a well known pro rabbit catcher in Hampshire that another batch of ferrets were stolen today from near salisbury. Surely someone knows something? Where are all these fitches going cause there are no rabbits down here to work! Will post more info as soon as Soon as i get more details James

    Guys It would appear several ferreters have been raided by these scumbags, around Southampton, Whitchurch, Stockbridge and Andover. God knows what they are doing with so many ferrets, and why go to so much hassle when you can buy em so cheaply or get given them? Suggest you all are well prepared and leave a few presents for these visitors....who mostly seem to be just under sixteen....so can only have police cautions..... It is well worth having your ferrets micro chipped and Wessex ferret club I believe do this very cheaply....so if they are being sold on to labs, or elsewhere

    Little jack good idea, did do and know the club well, think I join it around 1982!!! Ferrets doing well, just a bit thin and one likes the taste of the hand!!! Lol but will sort this week. James

    Guys Had a call from a dog walker yesterday evening, as two ferrets were running around a roadside warren near Brockenhurst, New Forest, Hampshire. Picked them both up, and now have them in a spare hutch. If anyone has lost them (or maybe they were dumped as the keepers house is about 10 seconds away!!), please pm me with what se and colour they are. James

    Lol....but you won't be watching it......but racing to get the shed key before Phil, Hywel , frank etc beat you to it with their shopping trolleys .....anyway please leave some rabbits for later in the season
