I don't really know the law, but as I understand it you can dispatch a suffering animal in as humane a way as you have to hand. I have killed many injured creatures with a hammer; draw a vertual line from right eye to left ear, and vic virsa, hit it as hard as you can in the vee created an jobs a goodun. tis not such a silly question mate, even vets will disagree. In general I would say that if you live in a town, or excercise your pup over ground where oth. Good luck er people run their dogs then better safe than sorry..........get the chap done!! Good luck

Been told I better say hello, which is very painful for a grumpy old b*****d to do, but yere tis!!! I've decided to join this site, because after many years of bringing up brats I have decided to become one myself again and take up all my old habits of crawling round in bushes with dogs and things. Used to train gun dogs and take in rescues, did a bit of trialing til it all got a bit too serious. Do a bit of shooting when time and money allow.
