  1. and what motors were the worst for reliability in the recent surveys I don't recall. ButI know which vehicle he went up Snowdonia in, or where ever, and it wasn't a Subaru. Anyhow it's a good buy at £500.00. It has a 100 litre tank, most have an 60/80 litre tank that just about gets them to the offy and back. The 100 litre tanks cost £400. It prevents running out of fuel in the middle of the night if you are Lamping. Best Wishes and good luck with your purchase. J.H.S.

  3. Ask Jeremy Clarkson which is the Best off road vehicle. It's the Land/Range Rovers. Go anywhere never get stuck. I have a Range Rover 4.2 LSE. Runs on L.P.G. It's for sale if anyone's interested. P.S. Currently paying £0.65/litre
  4. How near are you to Youlgreave/Haddon Hall? Regards. J.H.S.
  5. I am pretty sure that Ecclesfield Beagles are no longer active. However I had a nice day with the Barlow hounds at Ughill Hall last week which is near to Bradfield. I think they have another meet scheduled there. Regards. J.H.S.
  6. Doesn't anyone on this site care for BSA's? I bought a second hand Supersport for £20 that was new in 1988.Plenty powerful and acurate too I've shot loads of Ferals and squirrels round the Stable area and, as a favour to the local Vic, Ferals roosting around the Church. Regards. J.H.S. Yeah but those sort of guns are on a equivalence of Hens Teeth, Rocking Horse Manure and Self Detonating Lettuces, we are going for what we know, what we like and what is good value! "On a equivalence......" Surely> "Equivalent to" ??? P.S. The last time I was on the Uttings site they had been

  8. "L" reg Classic Range Rover. 4.2 V8 L.S.E. Auto. LPG. 100ltr Tank. Taxed/tested. Drives fine. Would benefit from tidying. £495 Regards. J.H.S.
  9. Get a pump. Divers bottles are a rip off. I have 4 PCP's and use a pump I bought 3 or 4 years ago, second hand for £40. It is much more convenient and an aid to upper body strength!! Regards. J.H.S.
  10. Betweem £60/£. More if it has illuminated Reticule. I paid £90 for a Hawke 3-9x50 with illuminated reticule. You can pay a lot more but I cannot fault mine. Regards. J.H.S.
  11. Points if you can tell me who owned "Rodney"?

  12. You were dead right. Sent Dad over with the S200 this a.m. Took him less than an hour to get there. Mandy made him a cup of tea whilst Adrian threaded the barrel and put a few rounds through it to make sure it was ok. The service was excellent and a fraction of the cost other Gunsmiths were asking. I would recommend him to anyone, he's a true enthusiast and totally genuine. Regards. J.H.S.
  13. I am sure it would but I have tried that method before and was not impressed. That said, thank you for taking the time to reply. J.H.S.
  14. Thank you. I'll check out the site tomorrow. Looks promising. Just got in! Regards. J.H.S.
  15. Does anyone know where I can get a barrel threaded to accept a Moderater in the N.Derbys/S.Yorks/Peak area? Thank you for reading. J.H.S.
  16. Is it not better to have someone trust your confirmation that what you're selling is just fine, and then to simply buy it based on that? Do you like 'tyre kickers'? Get over yourself. J.H.S.
  17. Yes, it's still there with the toys! What's with all this 'looking' and 'trying out' stuff? If you'd said the fault was fixed and which stock it was I'd have just said "I'll have it" and arranged postage! All this "looking and trying out stuff" is because the gentleman concerned is not Internet enabled, his daughter spotted the ad in "Loot" and we have been corresponding. I will be at home in London over the week end and he is coming round to "have a look" and "try the gun out" Is it not wonderful to find old style manners and politeness in these troubled times, even in the Metropo
  18. Thank you, I was busy chatting to someone who wants to come and look at the Falcon.I explained that the fault had been cured by the purchase of two metal magazines. They have a long way to travel and I was trying to arrange a mutually convenient time when I am back in London. Regards. J.H.S. P.S. I hope your dummy is still where you spat it?
  19. Falcon Prairie-B, .22, hardly used, excellent unmarked condition. 2 eight shot magazines. £195. Regards, J.H.S.
  20. Yes, of course it would be possible. I am just being careful that is all. You would be amazed at the number of people who want to take away the gun and then "get back to me if it is ok" !! It's a Beech stock in excellent unmarked condition and has probably fired less than 200 rounds. You are welcome to come and have a look and fire a few rounds if you wish. Regards. J.H.S.
  21. I am in Youlgreave when I am not working. ".......try the gun out ??"? Regards. J.H.S.
