  1. They are seriously tough animals and they have razor sharp claws that come out like lightning. Buster managed to bay this one up untill the hounds came. Even one on one with a fox hound, these critters are mean. He got 3 during my two week trip and when i left, the guy was over the moon with him. He sent old Buster to the vet for 3 days to have semen taken off him to be frozen coz he was so happly with the way he worked. Buster has sired a lot of pups in Georgia. Sometimes wish i had kept him but he was far too hard for my use, Del. Hi Del............i have very limited knowledge in terr
  2. Thats what I thought Del, looked through the rules & it says nowt anywhere on this section about stating a price therefore I'm doing nothing wrong Thanks for that John ,it is just that sometimes i see things on here for sale and the mods say location and price or it shall be removed yis Del. P.S. I put one on flea bay a few weeks back and it only went for £31 with a collar so think twice before putting it on there..

    Kennels

Looks good Paulas, you would think in this day and age that someone would be able to produce a piss free grass that stayed brilliant green eh. I could do with a bag of that yis Del.
  4. NOW NOW Scothunter. I have a rake of coyote hunting pics too but think i will keep them for another night. Good to have a wee change and share experiences with folk that may not have had the chance. Oh and as i said to cu beag, I am going out in Feb next year with my son for the 19th time in 11 years to hunt coons, coyote, hopefully to see bird dogs in action and also to do a bit of game fishing, stay at hunt kennels etc and generally enjoy life if anyone wants to tag along we could probly make room for another. Always good to help a fellow hunter if possible. Give us a ring and if we get on

    Kennels

Bulldog, nice set up. One thing i may change is to bring all my beds to the front where the bars are and put a low roof on them. This way the dogs could jump onto the roof and look out of the bars or sunbathe instead of lying on the concrete floor. Also they would crap at the back of the kennel run this way too. One of the problems now is that they crap in the run and then go to the back of the kennel to where they sleep and then when i come outside they run to the front and step in it. With the beds at the front they would just come out and jump onto the roof to see who was there and wouldnt
  6. JESUS ''YOU HAVE MIDGET'S HUNTING WITH YOU ASWELL'' Its a brilliant pic that one buddy eh, Del.
  7. Coon hunter kitted out for work. P.S. Hope everyone is enjoying this post. Makes a wee change and im sittin here waiting for my bitch to whelp, Del.
  8. Cheers BH, Coon hunting is done at night because they are nocturnal and are active at night. Once treed they climb up to the tallest branches and the hunter uses a sqauwler. This is similar to a squeeker but with a very eerie noise to it. It is meant to sound like two coons fighting. He uses this to draw the Racoon out from hiding as he sits in thick leaves or behind a thick branch. They are not stupid. (very very clever animals). I have seen them covering their eyes with their hands to avoid being spotted with the lamp. They will then either be dispatched with a small rim fire or left alone
  9. del is that a big dog or a borrower ... Stig, this is how we keep it legal in Bonnie Scotland. It is perfectly legal to hunt with one Terrier, Del. P.S. She is 48" to the shoulder, big strong bitch lol. Here is one of her as a working hunter.
  10. Wouldave got me into trouble buddy. He hated cats. I was given him because of his worrying and worked him a fair few times but he was far too hard for me. Guys on here that know me know that i keep Russells and most of mine are bayers, I have no place in my kennels for nutcases, I want them all to get along and do what they are bred for not to have them in sick bay everytime they go out. I have Megan, my 8 year old bitch whom i have dug 28 foxes with and she has been nipped twice. During all these digs and before anyone starts, Most times i dropped one hole as she sits a foot away screaming h
  11. WHY IS IT EVERYTIME A THREAD IS POSTED ???????/. Believe if you want, im saying it is genuine buddy. Next you will be saying this one of Megan below, out with our huntsman is a fake too. No but seriously, the one with the fox is NOT a fake, Del.
  12. Thanks Harry but as i say it was a mates dog, i think its brilliant.
  13. Its not just the snakes Harry. there are Bears too and also my mate caught a glimpse of a black panther one night but at the time, you forget about them. They are treeing walkers but the guys use red bones and blue tick hounds. I love coon hunting and this would be my sport if i stayed here, Del. P.S. Andri, if you read this can u empty your inbox or call me
  14. Coon hunting starts about 9pm an can go on all night. Depends if their are many around. Hounds also hunt deer and stuff which is out of order so they were a shock collar to encourage them to stop. When a hound is treeing, you do not go near it or it will bite your arm off. you stand back untill the owner ties it up coz they get a tad excited. The hairs on the back of your neck will stand as you hear hounds screaming on a tree in the middle of the night. I have trailed them for about 5 miles with trackers going through snake filled bogs without even thinking about it but on the way back you say
  15. These hounds think nothing of climbing 20ft up a tree.
  16. Here is a few pics from one of my trips to Usa, Del.

    Kennels

very nice feller Thanks carp man. I just got fed up over the years of bending down to get in to clean my small wooden kennels. My son gave me a hand to build them. Now the only wood i have is on the roof covered by gortex membrane and tiles. Walls are all block and bars. Beds are brick surround, filled with 18" of polystyrene with 1" of granite on top and rubber stable mat on top of this. This keeps them cool in summer and warm in winter. I also put in automatic drinkers to ensure fresh water all the time. Oh, and the wee bugg*rs have the radio and lights on a timer. Mrs says they are be
