    I have five pens four are holding great but have noticed less and less in one of them in the day,stuck around the pen this evening and watched them all coming home from the neighboring farm one field away,they have plenty of pellet in and around the pen,would it have anything to do with them not combining yet next door, im only part time so cant get there every morning to push them back,but i am there every day after work, any ideas out there and yes we are loused out with buzzards aswell, cheers b..

    At what sort of age do you start mixing wheat with your pellet to get your birds of pellet cheers b..

    If you use maintenance/release pellets between grower and wheat then that will quite often have aniseed in it, depending on your feed supplier. Thanks mate, looked at the pellet ingredients it is fish meal based with loads of additives i think i will do the same as last season and just add to the wheat cheers B..

    Hello does anyone use additives [aniseed oil or powder] in pellet for poults, i used it in wheat last season, should i try to start them on it this early? any help appreciated B..

    I forgot to add, that i generally freeze the fruit as soon as it's picked, then defrost the day after to bottle it. I'm no physicist, but something seems to happen on a macro cellular basis that improves the transfer of flavour from fruit to spirit.
