  1. made a fox call tonight. cut the squeeky part out of a dog toy its a small white thing. then drill the end off an empty .223 bullet case then super glue the white squeeky thing into the end of the bullet case. drill a small very small hole in the side of the case. simply blow through the case varying the pitch by placing a fingure over the small breather hole... fox call made.....! or just go buy one

Aye up ark....!!!! are you getting your mince from bucknall...? ok their decent price, i mix a complete food in with mine and make a stew with it a couple of times a week with veg, garlic, and such like.. no harm gutted rabbit, just means more regular worming..   3. hi there depends what ur plans are with the dog.. my lurcher began life in the house when i was at work ect... untill he decided to chew the place to bits so i decided to build a kennel in the garden 10ft square. so now the pup goes in the cage whenever am out the house. when am in the house hes welcome in and sleeps on the floor. at first he disliked it but some meaty bones to chew and good walks he seems to like it. his morning feed is in the kennel so he soon races in there.. all the best

What u guys feeding ur dogs?? i have been giving min mince meat with mixer which he loves i have also given him rabbits skinned and gutted he loves them and doesnt last long is it ok to feed him raw rabbit whole?? also i have given him pigeon breast whch he loves is this safe for him and how often and what amounts you guys feeding ur dogs. i want the pup to be up to scratch fighting fit any help be greatly appriciated
  6. is he having trouble breathing?? my dogs started off like this and then a massive lump apperared over nite in her throat and it was cancer. probs and hopefully not the same with u but i would get the vet asap hope hes alright dogman Jesus hoping its not that he seems ok ran him tnight without any probs but noticing him a little down and sleeping more than ever i shall see the outcome tomorrow cheers for the reply
  7. Hi guys just after some advise. my lurcher has had a runny nose for a day or so he also seems to be sneezing abit just notice that that there seems to be a very weak redish musus comming from his nose asif a weak blood solution any ideas guys late to take him the vets just abit worried

  9. Hi guys i have just recently uped the tempo with the lurcher pup..now 12months i have started running him more so than i have done previously. He has had two rabbits these when he was maybe 7-8months old, but nothing since. He is stupidly fast and his prey drive incredible, he has started running the beam spotting sitters and generally comming on well. however has not produced any catches. he seems to be lacking in agility being able to turn quickly. he will get on the rabbits tale turn the rabbit and he will go up in a puff of dust by this time the rabbit is well on its way to cover.   11. Mine munches down on cow and sheep shit when out in the fields. i am led to believe there is some kind ov nutriants in it something it isnt or cant get from other foods.
  12. i am asking the question will 2 mile runs bother a lurchers health. i play alot ov football and have done small jog's to aid the fitness levels. i have just recently began to take my 10month bull grey lurcher out on the runs am thinking it will aid him as much as me although i am aware the lurcher is not built for endurance. any advice cheers guys

I have tryed afew of the ideas previously and have concluded it must be a puppyish behavor which he will grow out of. i can get the dog to sit within meters of other dogs but he has that much exitment to see and play with other dogs that he cant sit still. i can get the dog to do almost anything i wish of him until another dog is preasent all he wants is to play QUESTION IS WILL HE GROW OUT OF THIS ?? thanks for the replys

Hi guys yet another problem i am having with the pup. he is now 8.5months ish and is comming on great however he still insists on going crazy when he sees other dogs pulling the lead jumping around ect.. i see it as an exitment thing any ideas how i could cure this or [NO TEXT TALK] else had similar problems. the dog has been bitten on 2 occations now because of this. i was thinking a stick to dissaplin him with but i know jo public wouldnt like to see that cheers folks
  17. i have seen this dog and can safly say he is tidy looking mutt am sure he ant getting on your tits as much as mine does, he drives me crazy. it apears your out the other side and can begin to reap the rewards mines 8.5 months now so atleast 4months left. all the best mate
  18. Some kind of heat rash maybe with it being around the joints could be a possibility having had some hot weather.

  20. I am a total novice to this game however i have taken onboard alot of good sound advise from many on here. I have taken my pup out from day 1 whenever i go shooting he comes along pigeons,ferretin ratting anything i do he has been there. i first took my pup out on the rabbits at 6months with other dogs letting him watch them work and catch rabbits. at 7 months on a lanping trip with the rifles i slipped him on a wounded rabbit which he nailed and retreived. He is now 8months and last week i took him out on his own slipped him on maybe 2 rabbits (no prize unfortunatly) nothing excessive i am st
  21. This time last year on the same land i saw non out last night saw 5 ov them it is getting bad. luckily these badgers dont mind my pup jumping all over them trying to play...!
  22. Me and a mate went out on the lamp last night over some newly cut fields took the rifle as the landowners chicken and turkeys have been battered by the foxes. Took the pup out as i usually do for training looking for the odd rabbit for him to run on. No rabbits about no foxes about just several badgers...! And thats where the night went bad. lamped the field yet another badger just 20 yards out, the pup alert to it ripped the lead out my hand and straight for it. knowing full well the pup wouldnt take the beast he continued to run along side it with lead still attached jumping over it puppyis
