what do you think of white dogs for lamping

nowt wrong with any colour in my opinion, but saying that....i was once told, (& don't hang me out to dry for this) by an old boy years back that in his day any white dogs would be culled he said they would only use dark/coloured mutts, for what reason i ain't got a clue...two of mine have a lot of white in them... -
the two boys are crated if i'm out, the bitch runs free...never really been destructive...bored and playful at times when i have gone out and come back in have found half eaten spuds up and down the hall and the odd bag gone down...but that was a couple of years ago now, not happened since. They take a couple of years or so to mature or settle down i say, also a good idea to crate yours because if it is destructive it could have a go at any electric cabling you might have like extension leads...and that could be nasty.

be a bit careful with it next to a radiator, especially if you feel the cold and are prone to having the heating on a lot, dogs have coats for a reason and keep plenty warm on their own. My bitch is a fussy eater so i feed her in the crate, the other two woof theirs down then set on hers...she has a habit of taking food out her bowl to another corner of the crate and eating it instead of just eating straight from the bowl at which time the others are on it .

yeah like butter wouldn't melt in their mouth..like mine shes calmed down a lot over the years, the boys i crate which i would recomend. All three of mine would take food off the side if you turned your back for a second...thats natural, but the destructive side needs to be addressed. Something to play with to occupy it, but it must be well made not your usual crap that lasts less than a minute

this could go on forever, and i'm bored with it now...nice to let off a bit of steam occasionaly...i think everyone has had their bit of fun with this and had their two pennifworth so thats me done with it...for now....and before anyone starts shouting racism remarks i would like to add that i have scottish lines running through me ATB

well thats me finished on this topic for tonight...but a final thought on the matter just to sum up.... i suppose if i was to give my son a lurcher and encourage him to go lamping without permission on someones land, then yeah i would feel guilty as hell when he got grassed up and nabbed by the local plod....and then i suppose i would get all torn up inside when confronted with this truth by a complete stranger who has the ability to piece all this together for himself by reading a topic posted on a forum, which lets face it was rather misleading in its early stages and developed into this no
