for the past 18 years ive been working and racing pedigree whippets but we fancied a change so weve been out and bought this little rough coated terrorist.

my lads 11 and mad keen on ferreting/lamping so it only seemed right he had the chance to train up his own working dog.

  5. Same thing happened here.

We lost a 4 year old ferret Jill that was perfectly healthy, replaced her with one of this years kits.

shut up for the night and she was jumping about full of health morning after dead no sign of anything wronge with either of them.

burnt the hutch just in case so i'm now needing a new cage & ferret

  6. for a working dog you cant beat the old fashioned meaty/veg.

but if you do need a compleat go for a low protien food af around 18/20% the feeds like red mills racer are meant for racing dogs where short sharp burt's are wanted rather than a prolonged day ferreting or a nights lamping.

the high protien foods will make your dog hyper and less responsive to your commands.

if you can feed it meat/veg/pasta you'll have a much calmer dog for working.

  7. Hi mate

they are realy simple to make, a car starter motor (inercia type) Cellanoide, a push button switch and come cabling and a frame to mount it all on, you'll knock 1 up in half a day easy.

PM me if you need any more details.

  8. Good with the sale of your dog mate for all in the know take a look at the KC championship shows very few will carry the blood you won't name but very many will fail to go under the measuring stick & the whippets that can go under the measuring stick don't get a look in ;)

unfortunatly the above is very true.

but whilst the KC dont check lines out they will unfortunatly continue to be bred bigger.

  9. I have for sale the following books.
