  1. Im on re-shaping and finishing my hw90 stock and need sum advice. its a beech stock, ive stripped it with nitromors, re-shaped it a little and im now ready to add the finish but im not sure how to go about it. i dont want to sand 50 years of growth from it but the original stain is realy patchy and im thinking if i dont get this stain out, my finished stock will be patchy. will this be the case or wil i get away with a re-stain or even just an oil finish without getting the original stain out?

  5. Cheers landrover, It works a treat.
  6. Yeah good idea, i will leave it as it is. Theres no point risking it for the extra 0.6ft/lb. Thanks for your help.
  7. The gun is an Air Arms S410 and im using daystate select 177 pellets. Its just been back to Air Arms for warranty work on the pressure guage and im under the understanding that airgun suppliers have to take steps to reduce the power of the guns that are returned to the factory. I didnt have the chrony before the warranty work was done so im not sure if this was the power of it all the long. So do you think it woud be a good idea to bump the power up a touch??
  8. thanks sean3513, ive just tried that calculation and it moved the decimal place along 3 places to give 10.916953. now thats more like it, isnt it? 10.9ft/lbs. Do you think i should crank it up a touch to more like 11.5ish?
  9. I have an F1 aswell. The instructions for it say velocity x velocity x weight of pellet in grains / 450,240. and this is the answer i get = 10916.953
  10. Can anyone tell me how to read a chrony? Do you have to round the end figure up or down? The answer i got was for ft/lbs was 10916.953. Would this be 10.9 ft/lbs???
