For your hob clean out the hutch properly with (pottasium permangamate, get from chemist) burn bedding and get new stuff down disinfect the feeding bowls water dispensers etc.. feed as above glucose type in warm water keep an eye on the hob, keep in the warm out of any draughts and wind ,rain ferrets dont like wet, wind or cold draughts it will do them in just follow what I have said mate best of luck
  7. With what you have just said now,To be honest mate I think it may even be parvo or distemper, the symptoms and signs dont look too good. keep a close eye on it
  8. Listen mate, act quick, get it in the warm give it plenty of fluids and especially some glucose in some warm water or sugary type of drinks keep a close eye on it and quarantine it away from the others until it gets better. ferrets dehydrate very quick,so if it does not take any fluids get a syringe and feed it yourself see if it will eat some cat or dog food for now until its able to feed properly best of luck
  9. Just to put a smile on your face A man is sitting reading his newspaper when the wife sneaks up behind him and whacks him on the head with a frying pan. "f*kin hell What was that for ?" He asks. "That was for the piece of paper in your trousers pocket with the name Mary Ellen written on it" . "Don't be silly ", he says "two weeks ago when I was at the races, Mary Ellen was the name of one of the horses I bet on". She seemed satisfied and at this point gives him a kiss and she apologizes. Three days later he's again sitting reading when she nails him with an even bigger frying

  14. I think some of you are missing my point say for instance you had moles digging up your garden , you would call out the moleman .therefore would you expect him (the moleman) to pay the customer for allowing him to remove the moles that are causing the nuisance. wilf you said "really dont see the problem in paying for permission to enjoy your sport........most would think nothing of paying a couple of hundred quid for a day on a decent partridge shoot.......some pay much more for grouse or stalking.........clays will cost you £40 odd quid..........fishing anything from £20 to £5
  15. Now I dont know about you's but I have just noticed an advert goes something like this ferreting permison wanted - permison arond notts derby anywere to ferret and fly harris hawk willing to pay Location: Nottinghamshire, Sutton-in-ashfield Contact:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Now if this goes on any longer, whereby the farmers sees this sort of thing, you can say goodbye to your days of legal permission for FREE and the days of poaching are coming back. The day I have to Pay to clear someones vermin,is the day I hang up my coat and burn my stuff... lets get some rules set here 1
  16. Nice bag there, worth going out that, well done :clapper:
  17. In my experience ,pigeons have loads of down feathers which is quite thick,on the breast area, 7s would just bounce of them, you need something that would penetrate that area. what you say "I use 7's for decoying, if your decoying and your decoy pattern is pulling birds into a predictable killing area then 8's.. even 9's could be used to good effect and good for building confidance in young shots." The pigeons in my area would just laugh at 8 or 9s,that would be like throwing a handfull of smarties at them 6s all day will do the job,but thats my personal opinion at over 25 yrs shooting
  18. size 6s 32g ideal for rabbit ,pigeon, crow, pheasant etc clean kill any other wont do the job as good, as 6s, all the others are for clay pigeon
