Had a little project recently I was working on , decided to build a decent high seat with roof to keep dry, still needs a few finishing touches but think it looks pretty good. The high seat is situated in a 17 acres of plantation which can be a bit hit and miss but I chose to have a go in the seat for the 1st time this evening, got in the seat fairly early around 6.30 was hoping to see a fallow pricket or a buck but don't usually see any decent bucks here until around mid October. Wasn't long before I see some movement a fallow yearling for which didn't stick around for long. A little later on I see a fallow doe and her fawn around 180 yards out in the corner of the field keeping my eyes in that general area in case my quarry was to make an appearance but no luck and they soon moved on. See a badger running along the edge of the ditch in rush to get somewhere, all the fields around this way have just been turned over so probably on his way to grub up on some worms. Went quiet for a while and was just starting to get dark around 7.30 ish and to my left a catch a glimpse of something making it's way across the field towards the chicken farm little b*****d gave him a quick squeek he stopped in his tracks and I permanently stopped him. The end :0)

Hi all I'm looking into fitting a moderator for my sauer 202 but don't want to ruin the look of the rifle with one that covers the barrel would prefer one that go straight on the end of the barrel so I don't have to loose front sight. Any recommendations?

Looks decent mate I'd be well happy with it
-
Some nice bucks there well done tim
-
Superb buck well done to you both

Struggling to find a 30'' barrel with 31/2 chamber only found one in camo would prefer wood and blue.

Plus steel cartridges don't work out too expensive really do they? One of my local gun shop has them on the shelf as well doubt I will be putting many 3.5 cartridges through it really but defo like the idea of having the option of being able to though. Planning on going on a few Scotland goose trips in the next few years.
-
Thanks for the replys guys I will mainly be pigeon shooting and duck and geese. I'm not too worried about the cost of the cartridges coz they are defo going to be cheaper than the bismuth and tungsten matrix 10 bore I used to have to buy My old ten never only took 3 inch so all had to be professionally loaded n cost a fortune.

all I'm debating on buying an browning b425 waterfowl it's seems the options are a 28'' barrel or 30'' and they do a 3'' and a 3.5'' chamber. Does anyone on here have any recommendations on preference on barrel length? And do you think 3.5 is over kill? I want a gun that I'll be able to shoot high geese and also use it for pigeons etc if I'm right this gun has adjustable chokes also??

Hi all want your opinions on what you consider a good wildfowling gun? I used to own a double 10 hammer which I've regretted ever selling. I'm looking to get a gun which I can use as bit of an all rounder. I'm selling my charles lancaster sidelock ejector which is on gunstar at the mo which I'd take a decent wildfowling gun as part exchange.
-
No ta mate lol would consider 2 x 4 and 1x2 though
-
Looking for a decent 10 bore hammer gun any one got any forsale or thinking of selling in future?

Alright mate ya will struggle to get into a stalking syndicate in Essex there's not really anything like that here. There's plenty of shoots which you might be lucky to get into but you will probably pay through the nose for it. Best thing to do is take a drive out and go from farm to farm and ask for pest control permission n once ya got ya foot in the door then mention ya also do deer stalking n ya might get lucky b get permission on them. From previous experience don't knock n ask about deer straight away. Where in Essex are ya located? How old are you as well if ya don't mind me asking?

Depends on the size of them and if you want just antlers or if you want them skull mounted. There's a really nice set on eBay for 199 quid but there's a lot on there cheaper but obviously not as big

Hi there all posting this for a bloke I know who seems to be completely oblivious to what he has on his wall he knows they're muntjac of course but the standard of the antlers is amazing I think they're the biggest I've ever seen in person and they must be gold surely? What's your take on them
