  3. Yep they are around mate...........15 lb plus is a huge fish but not an unrealistic target nowadays.
  4. Would be whopper mate, there in the Ouse and wensum with the Trent not far behind and a few others. My bet is one of the Thames tribs to throw up one a 20lb plus next.
  5. each to theyre own jd. my feeders ar built around a 4 0z uptide lead with wires you should try them jd you could then step down from your six oz leads to three or four. hold like hell and easy to cast and more fun fishing with. belive me jd i fish with this feeder set up all times, and this river can rise 3 meters in five hours. the watch leads with wires are also a great set up. get more hooked fish also A lot of wired leads are now banned on fisherys because of the potenial damage they can do too fish once in the landing net, having said this I aint seen damage from the use of
  6. Rivers Dane and Dee all a stones throw from you mate if you ever fancy a barbel!!!!

  8. nice fish jd. would you go for a pva bag ,or a feeder of first choice each to they'r own just intersted always the bag......always i fish the wye and a bag would get washed away in no time on rivers like this jd use four oz watch leads to and still a pull. nice to fish with bags, but trickle feeding with feeder does the trick here. you got fast rivers near yo jd. and how do yo cope when in flood. Nice little trick to stop your bags from washing away before they hit bottom is to either double bag over on your PVA(bit more costly?) or soak your made up bags for a few days in
  9. Spent a warm weekend in worcestershire on a friends stretch of the River Teme. Roving tactics were the order of the day with mimimal tackle,PVA bags and Elips pellets. In between beer drinking, curry, and fry ups(all made in my fishing van)I ended up with 4 barbel and the biggest went to 10lb 4oz......well chuffed with that!!!!!!!!

  16. This one is at 9lb 13 oz a few weeks before the 10 lber taken from the same swim to the same bait . Interesting that most of the biggger fish I've had have been right in the dead of the night or early hours. oh and yes its another good double chin pic just for the cheshire lads
  17. It was from the dove near to sudbury. Hi Wilf The area sees one or two anglers but I had done a small amount of pre baiting in that particular swim.

  19. Hi mate It was taken with a single glugged 18 mm boilie with a golf ball size pva bag of very small mixed pellets, conditions at the time were quite low and clear, I'd not had anything in the daylight hours but they soon switched on to the bait once it was dark.
